Does anyone besides me find irony in
Trump Center Honors?
I have enjoyed the Kennedy Center Honors celebrations for a number of years. Various and diverse feted artists are apolitically honored for their contributions. The celebrations have to date been wonderful, thoughtful, uplifting, and very diverse.
In light of the various commentary, initiatives, history of behavior of the current regime, will the Kennedy Center Honors continue their fine, honorable, and egalitarian tradition when being revisioned under this new name?
Another chapter in the history of the arts, for sure.
