Repeated attention does not necessarily explain intent. This concept card introduces how recurring, uninvited, and unaccounted for attention patterns may be documented and examined over time within the Knowledge Base.

Repeated attention does not necessarily explain intent. This concept card introduces how recurring, uninvited, and unaccounted for attention patterns may be documented and examined over time within the Knowledge Base.

Attention is normally a natural part of everyday social interaction. However, when attention repeatedly appears in unexpected ways — across different places, different people, and different times — it may gradually change how a person experiences public space.

This Knowledge Base documents a wide range of recurring attention-related behaviors, including repeated staring, synchronized glances, unexpected recognition, unusual greetings, and recurring encounters. Rather than treating each event as isolated, these observations focus on whether recognizable patterns emerge over time.

The purpose is not to prove intent behind any individual interaction, but to understand how repeated attention may influence a person’s sense of safety, attention, and everyday decision-making.

Visual observations include:

  • Repeated staring
  • Prolonged Staring
  • Synchronized glances
  • Coordinated Looking
  • Unexpected recognition
  • Repeated greetings by strangers
  • Recurring encounters
  • Attention appearing across different places and times
