11/6/26 ES Market Prep

The analysis presented is generated from multiple models I have built using a Claude-Trading View crossover. I look daily at the gamma perspective as well as where ‘value’ lies in the charts via volume profiles and Time Price Opportunity charts to determine an overall perspective on the market and key levels to initiate trades in the futures market.

GAMMA ENGINE

Ready

Regime: Long Gamma (score 5) — but Short Gamma (3) and Event-Disrupted (4) are close behind. Not a 1.0-confidence read.

Structure: Balanced / False-Trend-Risk

Posture: Market Maker Mode — fade extension, favor reversion, take quick profits.

Structure — the bigger picture

  • ES topped at ATH 7632.25 four sessions ago, then ground down hard: 7632 → 7571 → 7400.5 → 7392.75 → 7278.5 (yesterday’s close, near its low).

  • Yesterday (Wed) was a clean trend-down day: open 7380, high 7404.75 (PDH), low 7256 (PDL), close 7278.5 — rejected near the open, closed on the lows.

  • Overnight (tonight’s bar): swept below PDL to a fresh low of 7232.25 — which lands almost exactly on the ATR daily lower band (7236.67) — then reversed violently +106 handles to 7338.75 (ONH), which lands almost exactly on the ATR daily upper band (7334.33). Price has since faded back to 7300.75, sitting right on VWAP (7299.10).

  • So overnight already tagged both measured ATR extremes and is now sitting at fair value. That’s the textbook setup behind the engine’s balance/fade read — both stretch targets hit, price reverting to the mean.

  • The pivotal level is 7256 (PDL / yesterday’s low). It was swept and reclaimed overnight. If bulls defend a retest of 7256 from above, the failed-breakdown/reclaim thesis stays alive and the path of least resistance is back up toward 7334–7404 (ATR upper / PDH). If price closes back below 7256, the 4-day downtrend from ATH reasserts — that’s the trigger for broader weakness, with no major reference levels below until well past the 7232 low (no volume profile loaded, so VPOC/VAH/VAL are unknown — see note below).

  • PPI hot this morning is the wildcard (Tier 1 event) — engine flags this can temporarily override normal VWAP/balance behavior in the open.

Posture

Trade like a market maker. Fade extensions into the ATR bands, look for VWAP reversion, take range fades. Don’t chase breakouts or hold runners until the engine’s own invalidation conditions fire.

What To Look For

  • Opening range breaks that stall and fail to hold

  • Re-entry/gravitation toward VWAP (7299)

  • Weak breakout participation (low volume on extension)

  • Rejection after price tags 7334–7339 (ATR upper / ONH) or 7232–7256 (ATR lower / ONL-PDL zone)

  • Whether 7256 holds as support on a retest — the regime-defining level

Allowed

fade_extensions · vwap_reversion_trades · range_fades

Avoid

breakout_chasing · pullback_trend_entries · hold_runners

Warnings

  • Do not assume a breakout = continuation

  • The move that looks best early may be the one that fails

  • VWAP/VPOC zone likely pulls price back into balance

  • Tier-1 PPI print can temporarily distort normal VWAP/OR behavior at the open

Operating Rule

Assume balance. Trade rejection. Demand acceptance.

Top 3 Setups

1. Fade ATR-upper / ONH retest (7334–7339) → VWAP

  • Want to see: A push back into 7334–7340 (ATR upper band / overnight high confluence) with a rejection wick or a 5m close back under ~7330,

especially without strong follow-through volume.

  • Don’t want to see: A clean 5m close and acceptance above 7340 with expanding volume — that’s a trend-day signal, not a fade.

  • Management: Target VWAP (7299) first, ON-low (7232) as a stretch target if momentum builds. Stop above 7345.

  • Invalidation: Sustained acceptance above 7334.33 (ATR upper) — abandon fade, this becomes a trend day.

2. Failed-breakdown reclaim long (7270–7290 pullback, holding 7256)

  • Want to see: A pullback into 7270–7290 (between current price and PDL) that bases/holds — a higher low above 7256, confirming the overnight sweep+reclaim was real.

  • Don’t want to see: A 5m close back below 7256 (yesterday’s low) — that’s the broader-weakness trigger, not a buyable dip.

  • Management: Scale out at VWAP (7299, already close), then 7334–7339 (ATR upper/ONH), then PDH 7404.75. Hard stop below 7256.

  • Invalidation: Acceptance below 7256 with expanding volume — confirms the 4-day downtrend resumes; flip bias entirely.

3. PPI-open range fade (first 30–60 min)

  • Want to see: An opening-range breakout (either direction) off the PPI reaction that stalls and gets a 5m close back inside the OR within 1–2 bars — fade that failed breakout back toward VWAP/OR midpoint.

  • Don’t want to see: OR holding 30+ minutes with volume/volatility expanding and pullbacks staying shallow and defended — per [[feedback_engine_trend_day]], if all five trend-day conditions fire post-open, override the balance label entirely (switch to pullback-trend-entries/hold-runners, drop fade bias).

  • Management: Quick partials at OR midpoint/VWAP (engine flags “prefer quick profit taking”). Don’t hold through the morning without re-checking the dashboard.

  • Invalidation: Same five-condition trend override — re-evaluate once 30+ min of RTH data exists.

Diagnostic note: prior_day_vpoc, vah, val, call_wall, put_wall were sent as 0.0 — no volume profile or options-flow indicator is currently on the chart, so these are placeholders per the schema’s “unclear → 0.0” rule. If you want VPOC/VA integrated into the regime call, load a volume profile study before the next snapshot.

VALUE ENGINE

Yesterday’s entire range (7278.5–7404.75) sat below the prior-2-day high of 7491 — a pullback from the ATH. Then overnight extended the pullback further, sweeping below the 2-day low (7247.25) down to 7232.25, before reversing ~68 handles back to 7300.5 (currently just above the VAL confluence at 7291.75).

Given hot PPI overnight, this reads as: PPI hits → knee-jerk flush takes out the 2-day low (liquidity grab) → dip gets bought back into prior value.

Watch Next (engine):

  • Whether RTH open stays inside prior range or quickly breaks from it

  • Overnight closed inside prior value → watch for rotational open unless price exits value fast

-Inventory is net_long → early selling could become an inventory-correction setup

FILTER 1 — HTF Trend Alignment

Prevailing trend (last 2 sessions): DOWN. Lower high (7491 → 7404.75 → overnight high 7338.75) and a fresh lower low overnight (7232.25 < 7278.5 < 7247.25 prior-2-day low). However, the overnight reversal off that swept low is the dominant fresh information for today.

The 3 Setups

1. Swept-Low Reclaim Long → POC (7335)

  • Trend: COUNTER TREND (vs. 2-day downtrend). Confirming reasons: (1) overnight low swept below the 2-day low at a major confluence level and reversed sharply; (2) inventory is net_long with price reclaimed back inside prior value. 2 reasons → stays on board.

  • Auction completion: Most of this move (7232.25 → 7300.5, ~68 handles) already happened overnight. SECOND ATTEMPT — reduced edge for any further long push toward POC.

  • Key level: 7232.25/7247.25 (overnight low / prior-2-day low confluence) — SWEPT AND REVERSED.

  • Probability statement: Swept-low reclaim long toward POC (7335) is MODERATE probability because the overnight low swept below the 2-day low and price has already reclaimed back into prior value (SECOND ATTEMPT — reduced edge, since most of the reclaim happened overnight), in the context of a 2-day downtrend with active responsive buying, confirmed if the RTH open holds above VAL 7291.75 and prints higher lows.

  • Entry: Look for the open to hold above 7291.75 (VAL), form a higher low above the overnight reclaim swing, then push through 7305–7310 toward POC 7335.

  • Don’t want to see: An immediate reject back below 7291.75 on the open — that kills this and flips the picture to setup #2.

  • Management: Scale partials into POC (7335); trail rest toward overnight high/prior VAH zone (7338.75–7366) only if momentum is clean (no stalling at POC).

  • Invalidation: Close back below 7291.75 on a 5m basis, or a retest/break of the overnight low 7232.25 (would mean the sweep wasn’t real — failed reclaim).

2. VAL-Reclaim-Failure Short → Retest of Overnight Low

  • Trend: WITH TREND (down, matches 2-day structure).

  • Auction completion: The downside move already happened overnight (fresh low at 7232.25). A short here asking to retest that same low is a

SECOND ATTEMPT — reduced edge.

  • Key level: 7291.75 (VAL confluence, prior day + prior 2-day) — currently SWEPT AND REVERSED (broken overnight, reclaimed back above). The bullish reclaim argument is currently active, working against this short.

  • Probability statement: VAL-reclaim-failure short toward the 7232 retest is LOW probability because price has already reclaimed above the confluence VAL (7291.75) overnight — SWEPT AND REVERSED, bullish argument currently active — and a renewed leg down to retest 7232.25 would be a SECOND ATTEMPT at the same low, in the context of a 2-day downtrend that already produced its flush, unless PPI-driven selling resumes and price decisively loses 7291.75 on the open.

  • Entry: Only if the open immediately rejects back below 7291.75 with conviction (not a wick) — that’s the “extraordinary evidence” needed.

  • Don’t want to see: Price holding 7291.75+ on the first two closed bars — without that, this stays speculative.

  • Management: If triggered, target overnight low 7232.25 retest; trail aggressively since this is a second-attempt level.

  • Invalidation: Reclaim back above 7291.75, or any push through 7305 on the open.

3. Failed-Retest Short at Overnight High / POC (7335–7338.75) — ANTICIPATORY

  • Trend: WITH TREND (down).

  • Auction completion: This level (7335–7338.75) was only tagged once overnight during the bounce and hasn’t been retested — fresh, not a second attempt.

  • Key level: Overnight high / POC confluence (7335–7338.75) — INTACT, no retest yet → labeled ANTICIPATORY per Filter 3 (fading an untested level).

  • Probability statement: Failed-retest short at the overnight-high/POC zone (7335–7338.75) back toward VAL (7291.75) is ANTICIPATORY/MODERATE probability because the level is intact and untested since the overnight excursion, in the context of a 2-day downtrend that has not yet been disproven, confirmed if price runs into 7335–7339 on the open and shows rejection (upper wicks, volume fade) rather than acceptance above it.

  • Entry: Wait for price to tag 7335–7339 intraday and print rejection — don’t pre-position.

  • Don’t want to see: Clean acceptance above 7339 with higher lows — that would invalidate this and favor continuation toward prior day VAH 7366 / high 7404.75 instead.

  • Management: Target 7300–7291.75 (back to VAL) on rejection; tight stop above 7345.

  • Invalidation: Sustained close above 7339.

FILTER 5 — Setup Interaction

Setup #1 (long reclaim) and Setup #2 (short continuation) directly conflict. Setup #1 is structurally dominant right now — the engine confirms net_long inventory, overnight acceptance back inside prior value, and no negations against the reclaim. Setup #2 only becomes live if the open immediately rejects 7291.75, which would override #1. Setup #3 is downstream of #1 (it’s the fade if #1’s target zone gets reached and rejected) — so #1 and #3 are sequential, not conflicting.

STRUCTURAL ALIGNMENT GATE (run at 09:30 ET)

Cannot be completed yet — current_session_bars is empty (pre-open, as expected). At 09:30 ET, re-run this snapshot workflow with the first 2 closed 5m bars populated, and I’ll evaluate:

  • Open vs. value (relative to VAL 7291.75 / VAH 7366 / POC 7335)

  • VWAP direction and price relation

  • Swing structure (HL vs LH)

  • Bias, and whether each of the 3 setups above aligns or conflicts

Pre-market primary bias going into the open: Long (Setup #1), conditional on holding 7291.75. If the open immediately loses 7291.75 with conviction, Setup #2 becomes the new primary — flag this explicitly at 09:30.
