January 22, 2025 — Trump just ended EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity). This means millions of women and minorities can be discriminated against in the workplace. They can be denied employment, raises, or promotions simply because they are a woman, African American, Hispanic, Indigenous persons, or LGBTQ.

What is EEO? Equal Employment Opportunity is the right of all employees and job applicants to be treated equally in the workplace. EEO laws prohibit discrimination based on factors such as race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, orientation, gender identity, and genetic information.

Trump actually made good on one promise so far — undocumented immigrants. Trump has declared a national emergency at the southern border. Is there a crisis at the border? Not really. Trump has instructed the Secretary of Defense to deploy additional personnel to the border, which will include members of the Armed Forces and the National Guard. Trump is also directing the wall he started during his first term be finished.

Trump states the majority of human trafficking is happening at the border and because of illegal border crossings. It is happening there, but it isn’t the majority. Trump wants to stop the influx of fentanyl from coming over the border, as well. As for the Venezuelan gang that took over the Edge at Lowry Apartments in Aurora, Colorado, that situation was ended as quickly as it began, but, yes, there are other gangs moving across the country just as Trump says they are.

Trump has stated that illegals are the cause of dozens of murders, including the killing of Lakin Riley. Yes, innocent people have been murdered by undocumented immigrants; however, more people have been killed by Americans with guns, yet Trump refuses to address the gun crisis, citing the 2nd Amendment.

Trump claims illegal immigrants hurt American workers, but what he doesn’t understand is these immigrants do the jobs Americans won’t do, like working in fields and on farms, as hotel/motel staff, and many jobs that require physical labor. He doesn’t realize when immigrants are gone, there will be no one to do these jobs and Americans will complain. Read the facts here.

Trump’s administration has removed all bilingual pages from the WhiteHouse.gov website, as well as any page referencing the LGBTQ community and HIV resources. They have also removed the Constitution page, but a Trump spokesperson states it will be back up soon. The issue many people have with this is, Trump has changed the wording to some of the Constitution as he is attempting to change the 14th Amendment and other parts, such as slavery. In his Trump Bible, his version of the Constitution is different. On the WhiteHouse.gov website, Trump has also ordered the removal of anything associated with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, despite it being customary that previous administration information remain available for reference. Trump did the same with Obama’s information in 2016.

Trump has gone as far as creating a page on the WhiteHouse.gov website called “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government”. This page is all about eliminating the trans community and has absolutely nothing to do with protecting women. In fact, many of Trump’s executive orders since he took office, including eliminating the EEO, are the opposite of protecting women.

I have tried very hard to remain impartial when writing these articles by only writing the facts regarding the executive orders, but things seem to be getting progressively worse for people like me (a lesbian woman). Things are getting progressively worse for my trans friends. Things are getting progressively worse for people like my daughter, whose father was an undocumented immigrant. Things are getting progressively worse for the elderly and low income in the country who will now have to pay more for prescriptions because of Trump’s order to remove Biden’s cap on drug prices.

Why don’t his supporters see what’s going on? Do they not believe this is happening or do they simply not care? These things affect them, too. The future of America is uncertain at this point. Because of these executive orders, this isn’t just my opinion, they’re actual facts. The facts are in his orders.
