YouTube app partially crashing on Android 14 Beta

An update to the YouTube app today sees it crash on Android 14 when navigating to the Library tab. Version 18.27.35 of YouTube was… Version 18.27.35 of YouTube was released on Friday afternoon. On Android 14 Beta 4 and 3.1, visiting the Library tab consistently crashes the YouTube app. You’ll see the circular loading indicator for a few seconds before that. We’re seeing this happen on a Pixel Tablet, 7 Pro, and 6a. This issue isn’t happening on Android 13.

Android 14 Beta 4.1 fixes quite a few bugs for the Pixel Fold and Tablet

Screen flickering was addressed again in this patch. Like always, Google has posted its official patch notes for **Android 14** Beta 4.1, which details quite a few fixes for its tablet and series of phones. Beta 4.1 will appear as an over-the-air (OTA) update for Google’s devices ranging from the Pixel 4a up to the Pixel 7a, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. Testers will find build number UPB4.230623.007, as well.

Google is rolling out Android 14 beta 4.1 to all eligible Pixel devices with a laundry list of bug fixes as the stable launch comes closer. As the company notes, beta 4.1 is a minor update. All eligible devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will be offered an over-the-air update to the software. That’s every Pixel device launched after the Pixel 4a 5G, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
