S46 Warrior Pre-Season Team Tier List

Title Contenders

Jackson 5 — Mercy, B-town, Manoy, Shadowmerc, Mango

Strong team, just won Challenger and upgraded their offlane with serial winner Manoy who won Warrior the last time he played it. Mercy+Mango is a devastating safelane duo and the team has a lot of game time together over the past couple years, even with some players taking breaks here and there. Definitely gonna be big again this season and should easily do well if they remain locked in.

United Egirl Emirates — dyl, Djbreadandbutter, Blanket Man, Gambit-Axiom, TehNoob

Another strong team, 3 seasons together for dyl+Gambit+Tehnoob so a lot of understanding there. Blanket Man came out of retirement and is stomping and Djbnb brings a very strong presence to the mid role. Last time UEE was in Warrior they made it to the finals. Last time the dyl/Gambit/Tehnoob trio played together they placed 3rd playing off roles. Should definitely aim for the top with this stack.

“Spicy” Teams

Dark Horse Storm — GRaff, Tinz, Berry, Bert, False Promise

Could sneak some big results and clock a strong place this season with their stack, having gotten Berry back on the field and Tinz tearing it up. GRaff is almost Divine but it remains to be seen if he’s a big comp player or just a pub stomper. False Promise is solid if unassuming, but Bert is the big wildcard that stops me making it 3 contenders for the title. How will he fare? Let’s find out.

John Wick’s Dog — Vrynmare, McGroovy, ClockWork, Jdog, ghostam

Well-known org at this point and McGroovy is one hell of a player. Vyrnmare gives them a vocal carry player which should serve them well. Clockwork almost ranked out of the division but managed to show restraint and should give them a very strong offlane presence. Their support duo is decent but I rate the 3 teams above higher on balance of their rosters. Should also place highly and could surprise with a run to the final even.

“Meh” Teams

PCF All Stars — Pikachu187, Disciple of Duongxi, Magnum Lamb, Himmel-San, Zenduron

New team to the division but they have a previous Warrior winner in Himmel-San (formerly kerokerocola of MHKFC) and their tricore have an interesting balance of play, being master and grandmaster on heroes like Pudge and Invoker. Himmel-san’s winning experience might be the X-factor that sneaks them into upper bracket and Zenduron is much better than his rank suggests but we’ll see. Not enough known about them otherwise and AD2L is a different beast so they might be dragged down by the long season slog.

Doofenjorts Jean Shorts Incorporated — cutch, Travis Scott, Mustard Technician, Wadukek, Trenything

Took games off all the top 3 teams last season during the groups, won their first playoff series 2–0 and then got 2–1’d by Midas who went all the way to the final. Have a couple strong players on their team, but the balance of ranks on this stack goes against them cause better teams would just exploit their shortcomings. Could sneakily creep into uppers if they manage to repeat the feat of drawing against the top teams and maybe stealing a couple 2–0’s off their peer teams but otherwise this is solidly a lower bracket team.

“Aint Got the Sauce”

Not Quite Largo’s Tempo — Joker, Chadenator, Godramen, king of crash out, diest

Someone had to end up here and people will say it’s weird to put the team with 2 archons above the team with only 1, but here are my arguments:

• 3 members of the team are from Disinformation Campaign in Challenger, who only made lower bracket and got knocked out second round of lowers.

• Chadenator is a solid player for this tier, but his record in comp is uninspiring to say the least and that was with better players, I don’t think (and this is no flame) he has enough in the tank to carry this stack from the midlane.

• Joker/diest is probably the weakest safelane duo in the division and combined with the rest of the teams issues of balance, unless they have some insane drafting skills this team is going to struggle all season. Luckily everyone makes playoffs this season so they would get a second chance to prove themselves in playoffs.
