Exploring Lodi Wine Country, One Vineyard At a Time

The weather was perfect for wandering around the vineyards—a perfect day with perfect company. Lodi specializes in my favorite, unoaked chardonnay.

We met the owners of one vineyard. They are charming and hospitable, treating us like old friends.

There are no strangers in wine country.

It was interesting to see the stainless steel barrels they use for the unoaked chardonnay.

The above picture shows the Jessie Grove Winery with barrels in the background.

But my favorite was the Pondl Winery. Super sweet people!

If you ever get to Lodi, I highly recommend these vineyards.
