In the past couple of months, Nigeria has become so hard to live in. Prices of things have gone through the roof and I wonder if this is really the adulthood I always wanted to experience.

Nowadays, everyone just wants to get by and survive by all means. It’s also quite unfortunate that we seem to have adjusted to this harsh reality of life so fast.

Sighs. The new normal, I guess.

Lately, life has had me sitting and just wondering if things would have been really different and much easier if only I were born in another country.

Say, South Korea for instance. On a beautiful weekend like this, I would probably be on one of those spontaneous outings with my friends taking a nice view of beautiful sceneries, enjoying nature with almost nothing to worry about, and maybe having a karaoke time out. We could go to a BTS concert and have some instant noodles at a convenience store.

Or maybe a college student working part time in a cafe and enjoying life as it is in a small but beautiful house in Jeju. I could even be a great lead actress acting alongside my favourite actors, you know.

Enough of the day dreaming, yeah. It’s time to face reality.

My life as a Nursing student is one with so many unique stories embedded in it. I could write an actual book on my experiences right from the very beginning.

I remember when I just started. I was a complete novice who didn’t know what I really wanted in Nursing. I mean, you can’t really blame me. Everything we did only looked like routines to me. It felt really tiring getting to always hear the 'this is how it is done' anthem.

Gradually, I started getting a grasp of how things work and why they are that way.

As the days go by, I seem to have more clarity into where I might find fulfilment as a Nurse. In a couple of days, I will be resuming back to school as a penultimate student. It’s been a long time coming and I am sincerely grateful to God for how far I have come. More than anything, I am looking forward to having my best grades this session.

Here's to having a really amazing session serving God with all of my heart, smashing my goals, and finally finding purpose.
