Why are these sentences misleading?

We know ourselves very well and it is easy to do to others what you would like them to do to you, it is not necessary to know them, it is enough to know ourselves.

Many people act as described, for example, I like to travel, who doesn’t like to travel? So I’m giving a trip to my friend, he will certainly be happy with it.

Instead, doing to others what they would like you to do to them implies profound knowledge of others, each of the others is different and has different needs and visions of the world and it is therefore necessary to enter into deep contact with her/him to understand what her/his desires are so that this what you do may be appreciated. It is a great effort to make, but it is the only correct one simply because others may not appreciate what we appreciate.

Thinking of doing to others what you would like them to do to you is a mediocre thought aimed at depersonalizing others. We don’t need it, instead, we need a closeness approach that enhances the differences that make life varied and worth living in this colorful world.

We are all on the same boat

It’s not true, we are not all on the same boat, instead, we are all on different boats in this great ocean that hosts us and we all observe each other from afar. We sail in different directions, sometimes getting closer and sometimes moving away. It happens that someone gets on our boat to stay, other times they only stay for a moment just to chat and we often sail alone.

Therefore

Let’s make signals to each other to communicate, let’s bring our boats together to navigate by sight and take a common direction to get somewhere together.

Maybe one day we will all be in the same boat, but it’s not now. To all be on the same boat we need a common feeling and a great community will, a positive tension for a better future.

Save the planet

It is an accommodating message to sweeten reality, it would be better to tell the truth: it is we, complicated human beings, the species most at risk of all, it is we who risk disappearing from the Earth.

Someone may object: it is implicit, that saving the planet means saving ourselves and all other living species.

True, but “save the planet” sweetens the message because it introduces two distortions:

1. Planet Earth was there before our appearance on Earth and will certainly be there after, this is a certainty, there is no planet to save because it will disappear.

2. Man is not above the planet, nature, and the universe, but within it. It is an integral part of it and must act to preserve creation. The omnipotent man-god instead stands as a bulwark and protection of the planet and decides to save it. It’s fiction, if man saves himself he will also save the other species that live on Earth.

So let’s tell the truth and do everything we can to avoid catastrophe by trying to save ourselves.
