This outrageous blatant SCAM is one of the many thousands (millions?) of similar scams the corrupt-to-the-core, multi-billion dollars ‘weight-loss’ industry, is fooling so many desperate overweight people with.

This type of hyped-up fake story (utter lies) is why I became the Anti-weight-loss Guru’.

This is a VERY serious Scam and is no laughing matter. However the laughter is directed at the completely absurd story and falsehoods used in trying to sell this stuff

So, according to the Lulutox Tea advert / promotional story… they have discovered a ‘centuries-old secret fat-melting Tea recipe from a ‘remote monastery’ where monks live to 120 years old. All these monks supposedly have perfect fit and lithe bodies and dance a merry jig every morning and drink copious amounts of their home brew miracle fat-burning tea!… Oh, Spare me!

Real monks are praying and making cheese. They are not living merry lives celebrating centurion birthdays and staying slim by drinking their own ‘secret’ homemade tea, then selling the recipe to a company to make a killing with it.

The monks on their way to make some tea — apparently Brother Joseph does not like tea…!

The monks on their way to make some tea — apparently Brother Joseph does not like tea…!

Every single monastery — and other ‘discoveries’ in weight loss history is just an inane story written by a marketing team — pulling at every psychological selling trigger they can muster.

“…What about monks in a Bavarian Monastery keeping a fat melting tea recipe secret for 800 years, then it’s discovered …that’s never been used before…”

“…What about monks in a Bavarian Monastery keeping a fat melting tea recipe secret for 800 years, then it’s discovered …that’s never been used before…”

Picture the scene in the marketing ‘story -writer’s’ imagination… a desperate middle-aged woman who has been feed on a diet (intentional pun) of how easy and fast weight-loss is for other overweight people. But she keeps failing in her attempts to lose weight.

This woman is frustrated, confused, and has had her self-esteem destroyed by her own constant failure — after believing the constant media coverage of quick and easy weight-loss. She is however, determined to carry on trying to find the right product that will ‘melt’ her own fat.

Ahh, why can’t I find a quick and easy weight loss product that will work for me?

Ahh, why can’t I find a quick and easy weight loss product that will work for me?

The story begins to form… a ‘secret’ formula for a tea with herbs in it that magically just happens to have the effect of detoxing the gut — and improving metabolism, is stumbled across in a Bavarian Monastery.

“In this monastery all the monks live to a ripe old age — let’s say 120 years old.” “yeah, that sounds impressive enough, and, of course, they are all slim and healthy monks, ha ha… not like the normal fat-bellied stereo-type monks.”

“Yes and let’s really go to town and make the ‘secret’ recipe for this tea 800 years old.” “Wow! Yes, that sounds really impressive. Makes me want to buy it myself ha ha…”

“Then to make this tea even better — we’ll make up a fact that a University studied this tea recipe — and found it to be a natural fat-melting miracle,” “And they developed the recipe further — with just the exact amount of various herbs to make it even more effective as a weight-loss product.” “This is great — what a sales pitch!”

The Reality Check:

The story claims…

Lulutox is an 800-year-old recipe? — 800 years old — hmmm… no way to prove that. (Nor, I guess anyway to disprove it — convenient!)

Brother Thomas, 82 is featured in the story — obviously a hip, new-age monk who’s happy to be all over social media…(!?)

The Tea recipe was ‘discovered’ in a Bavarian monastery? — So, name it. I’ll wait…

The Unmistakable Scam Template of a Marketing Story such as this…

Mention a vague ‘leading university’ (no name)

Cite a ‘Dr. Sarah M.’ (no surname, no credentials)

Drop a shocking statistic — metabolism slows 40% after 40 because of a build-up of toxins (that this tea just happens to efficiently detox).

Never provide a single link to a real in-depth peer-reviewed meaningful study (just a list of URLs of articles that generically mentions the various ingredients.)

‘Weight loss, Burning fat, and De-bloating, is ‘EASY’ With the right tools’… (selling an overpriced, over hyped, ‘easy’ weight-loss product to desperate women is even easier with the right tools!)

‘Weight loss, Burning fat, and De-bloating, is ‘EASY’ With the right tools’… (selling an overpriced, over hyped, ‘easy’ weight-loss product to desperate women is even easier with the right tools!)

This is what is called ‘scientific cosplay.’ They dress up lies in a lab coat and hope you’re too tired to fact-check. Spoiler: your metabolism isn’t down 40% because of ‘toxins.’ It’s down because you’re 40, tired and frustrated. and want a fast and easy potion to do all the work for you, so you’ve stopped moving… This is a different conversation.

The herb ingredients exposed

Lulutox Tea’s exotic claims vs reality

Their claim vs reality

Matcha Green Tea (available at Tescos for £3.00)

Milk Thistle (the evidence for weight loss is weak)

Dandelion Leaf (therapeutic — but not particularly effective for weight loss)

Fennel Seed (nice spice — not burning your fat though!)

Ginger root (delicious, versatile — but also not burning fat)

Wow! A ‘centuries-old secret’ that’s just… tea and herbs Very Revolutionary!

If you blended 80% cheap green tea leaves, 10% dried weeds, and 5% ginger, you would basically have ‘Lulutox.’ The remaining 5% is ‘proprietary blend’ (marketing speak for) we don’t want you to know about the chemicals included during the manufacturing process.

The Clinical Trails…(?)

‘In a 12-week study involving 147 British participants, those who drank this herbal blend daily lost an average of 1.9 stone without changing their diet or exercise routine.’ (Oh… please - tell me you don’t really believe that!)

1.9 stones? That’s 26 pounds — In 12 weeks! Without diet or exercise. On 147 people…??? (Seriously!)

Lets do some math…

1lb of fat = 3,500 calories… — 26lbs = 91,000 calorie deficit 12 weeks (84 days) = 1,083 calorie deficit PER DAY

That’s like skipping a full meal, a dessert, and running 5 miles… Every. Single. Day. (And remember, according to the sales letter, no exercise or change in diet happened)…?

If you believe a cup of fancy green tea creates a 1,000-calorie deficit — your delusion is the only thing losing weight here.

The Kicker The story doesn’t name the ‘university.’ It doesn’t name the lead researcher. They don’t publish the data — (because THERE IS NONE). The Clinical trial happened in the same place as the monastery… (in the marketing team’s imagination).

Let’s read the ‘real customer reviews’ on their site, shall we?

“Wilma D asks: ‘Can anyone confirm if this actually works?’” (The fake plant)

“Mary M replies: ‘Yes, absolutely love it!’” (The fake reply from the same IP address)

“Debra P: ‘I’m obsessed with this tea!’” (Hi Debra, ‘obsessed with tea??? Get a life!)

Notice how every success story is from ‘Helen R., 52, Birmingham’ or ‘Emma T., 45, Leeds’? Never a full name. Never a real photo. Never a verified purchase. Because these are characters in a story they’re writing to fleece you.

Oh, and of course — don’t forget the added fake scarcity…

Limited stock! Selling out fast! Only 48 hours left!

I went back to the exact same website 3 days later and guess what…? Yes… you’re ahead of me — the exact same offer was still on for the same heavily reduced (rolling eyes) price!

This is just scarcity theatre. They want you panic-buying at 2am when your critical thinking is asleep.

Was £85! Now less than £18!

But wait, “price returns to £85 after stock runs out!”

(Spoiler: The sale never ends.)

This is the oldest trick in the e-commerce playbook. Create fake urgency, fake scarcity, and a fake ‘original price’ nobody ever paid. You’re not getting a deal. You’re getting played.

Oh, and from the ‘reduced’ price don’t forget the 70% affiliates commission they pay to the immoral (or no conscience) vendors of this stuff. It makes you think (doesn’t it?) how much the actual cost for mass-producing this ‘white label’ stuff is. I’ll tell you = pennies! — that’s why they can afford to pay a marketing team.

Here’s the part Lulutox really doesn't want you to hear…

Weight loss over after 40 becomes different, because your hormones change. Your muscle mass decreases. You move less, You start to care less about sticking to only healthy food. You deserve more treats (chocolate, ice-cream, chips (crisps) Macdonald's).

Mmm, just one bag of crisps — I deserve it after all the stress I’ve been through today

Mmm, just one bag of crisps — I deserve it after all the stress I’ve been through today

Your sleep is worse. Your stress is higher. Your self-esteem is lower.

What actually helps (no Monastery needed)

Protein. Eat more of it. Preserves muscle. Keeps you full.

Strength training. Not CrossFit. Just lifting things.

Walking. 20 minutes a day. Free.

Sleep. 7 hours. Non-negotiable.

Patience. It took decades for your fat to get here. It’ll take many months (not ‘overnight’ or in ‘3 weeks’) to leave.

A cup of expensive (cheaply made) tea isn’t going to reverse perimenopause. It isn’t going to rebuild lost muscle. It isn’t going to fix your relationship with food. It isn’t going to change stressful circumstances. It’s not going to stop production of cortisol. It’s not going to reverse low self-esteem… You have to do those things for yourself. And I know you can.

And I know I can ensure you can…

Finally…

Lulutox is not a ‘monastery discovery.’ It’s a marketing script. Someone found out that British women over 40 are tired, frustrated, and desperate for hope. And they decided to SELL that hope back to them in a tea bag.

Don’t buy it. Don’t share it. Don’t let your mum buy it. The only thing getting ‘transformed’ by Lulutox is your bank account — into someone’s greed-driven financial success (at your well-being’s expense).
