Last time, we observed 2,000 years from ancient times to the 15th century and discovered a certain fact.

“…Wait. Aren’t they all doing the exact same thing?”

【Observation Records: 16th-20th Century】

Pattern ⑪: 1513 — The Requerimiento (Requirement) as “Ritualistic Massacre”

Tactic: “Announce” in an incomprehensible language; if no response, it’s “consent”; if they move, it’s “rebellion” justifying killing

This is a truly magnificent (?) tactic Spain used in the Americas.

When conquistadors arrived locally, they would first read aloud something called the “Requerimiento (Requirement).” The content went like this:

“In the name of God, the Pope, and the King of Spain, we notify you. This land is Spanish territory. If you obey, we will protect you. If you don’t obey, there will be war and you will become slaves.”

Problems:

• Language barrier — Local people didn’t know Spanish • Timing of notification — Sometimes read at midnight or from far away • Mere formality — Whether the other party understood or not, as long as there was a record of “notification,” it was OK

In other words, this wasn’t “dialogue” but a ritual to create an alibi for massacre in advance.

“We properly notified them, but they didn’t comply, so we killed them. It was self-defense.”

Remember that kid in kindergarten fights who would say “I’m gonna hit you? I’m gonna hit you? (quietly)” and then hit, saying “I warned you properly”? That’s this.

Pattern ⑥ application: Use authority (God, law) to numb the conscience

By the way, even among Spaniards at the time, there were people who questioned “Isn’t this wrong?” Friar Bartolomé de las Casas. He criticized: “Notifying in a language the other party can’t understand and calling it ‘agreement’ is fraud.”

But his voice didn’t reach anyone. Because this tactic was far too convenient.

Pattern ⑫: 1550 — Valladolid Debate “Do Others Have Souls?”

Tactic: The arrogance of believing you have the authority to decide “who to recognize as human”

As criticism of the Requerimiento grew, Spanish King Charles I temporarily suspended conquest activities in the Americas and had theologians debate.

Topic: “Do indigenous people (Indians) have souls? Are they human?”

When you think about it carefully, this is an amazing story.

They’re debating “whether to recognize the other party as human.”

Imagine this. You’re walking down the street, and suddenly strangers come and start debating in front of you: “Is this person human? What do you think?”

You’d want to say “Hey, I’m right here,” wouldn’t you?

Conclusion:

• Las Casas side: “Indigenous people also have souls. They’re human.” • Sepúlveda side: “They’re barbaric. Enslavement is for their own good.”

In the end, no clear conclusion was reached, but conquest activities resumed.

In other words, it didn’t matter either way.

This “debate” itself was just creating an alibi for “we thought it through properly.”

Pattern ⑨ reinforced version: Claiming you have the right to strip away “humanity” from others

By the way, this “do they have souls debate” was repeated in later eras. Against Africans, against Asians, and astonishingly, continued into the 20th century.

Pattern ⑬: 1600~ — The Era When Corporations Had Armies

Tactic: Not states but “companies” manage colonies and kill people for profit

Now, new players appear.

The Dutch East India Company (VOC) and the British East India Company (EIC).

These are “companies.” Corporations.

But they:

• Had armies • Could build fortresses • Could conclude treaties • Could wage war • Could execute people

“Companies waging war?”

Yes, exactly. This is the direct ancestor of modern private military companies and global corporations.

1623: Amboyna Massacre

On Amboyna Island in Indonesia, the Dutch East India Company tortured and executed British merchants and Japanese mercenaries.

Reason? “Suspicion of planning a rebellion”

Evidence? “Confessions” extracted through torture

This wasn’t even a trial. A company simply eliminated competitors it didn’t like.

Moreover, looking at records from that time, both the Dutch and British governments formally protested but actually settled it with “Well, it’s business.”

Pattern ③ corporate version: Risk to local people, profit to shareholders

By the way, this “corporations having armies” model continues 400 years later in different forms. Private Military Companies (PMC), the influence of multinational corporations locally. The structure is the same.

Pattern ⑭: 1650s — Taiwan’s “Division and Tribute” System

Tactic: Make local tribes compete against each other, making them permanently dependent on the ruler

During the era when the Dutch controlled Taiwan, they constructed an extremely clever control system for the local indigenous tribes.

Mechanism:

• Impose a tax quota of “deer hides” on each tribe • When one tribe (Tribe A) delivers more, grant them “excellent tribe” privileges • Don’t grant privileges to neighboring tribe (Tribe B) • Tribes A and B become jealous and conflict with each other • When either becomes too strong, support the weaker side to maintain balance

Result:

Any potential for tribes to unite against the Dutch is completely nipped in the bud from within.

This is a perfect reproduction of Roman Empire Pattern ②.

Exactly the same as 2,000 years ago. No evolution whatsoever.

Looking at records from Taiwan’s indigenous people at the time, complaints remain like “Why is the neighboring tribe treated better than us?” They didn’t realize. That this “disparity” itself was a tool of control.

Pattern ② reconfirmation: Create deliberate unequal privileges and make them hate each other

Pattern ⑮: 1740 — Batavia Chinese Massacre “The Fear of Livestock Gaining Intelligence”

Tactic: When locals gain too much economic power, eliminate them overnight

A shocking incident occurred in Batavia (now Jakarta), the capital of Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia).

Overnight, approximately 10,000 ethnic Chinese (Chinese residents) were massacred.

Why?

Because the Chinese had succeeded in commerce and gained too much economic influence.

From the Dutch East India Company’s perspective, this was a “system abnormality.”

Their logic:

• Locals should be “labor force” • “Labor force” gaining intelligence, accumulating wealth, and having influence is unexpected • Unexpected situation → Reset the system

Therefore, massacre.

This is like being surprised when livestock suddenly starts talking. For them, locals gaining power “as humans” is terrifying.

Pattern ① extreme: Maintaining class fixation of “you should be below” through violence

By the way, after this massacre, did the Dutch take any responsibility? Nothing. It ended with “It was a necessary measure for maintaining order.”

Pattern ⑯: 1840 — Opium War “State-Scale Drug Dealer”

Tactic: Addict the other nation’s citizens and rob them of the will to fight

This is a truly astonishing story, but Britain was selling drugs as a state.

Background:

Britain was massively importing tea, porcelain, and silk from Qing China. But Qing wasn’t very interested in British goods. Result: trade deficit.

Britain: “We’re losing money this way. Is there something we can sell?”

So they came up with opium (drugs).

Cultivate opium in India, smuggle it to Qing. Qing citizens became addicted one after another.

Qing government: “Please stop. Our citizens are becoming wasted.” Britain: “This is an obstruction of free trade!”

And then, war.

Structure:

• Addict the other nation’s citizens • When the government tries to stop it • Claim “obstruction of free trade!” and start war • Win and have the right to sell drugs recognized by treaty

Looking at this with modern “legal” and “illegal” sensibilities, it’s completely insane.

But Britain at the time did this brazenly, won, and even took Hong Kong.

Pattern ③+⑥ devil fusion: Risk (addiction) to the other party, profit to oneself. Moreover, justified with the righteousness of “free trade”

By the way, after the Opium War, an estimated 20 million or more people in Qing became opium addicts.

Pattern ⑰: 1845–52 — Irish Potato Famine “Exporting Starvation”

Tactic: Guard and export food while 1 million people starve to death

This is also an unbelievable story.

A potato blight occurred in Ireland, wiping out the staple food. Over 1 million people starved to death (about 12% of the population).

But actually, wheat, barley, beef, butter, etc. were being abundantly produced in Ireland.

So why starvation?

Because all that food was owned by British landlords and was being exported to mainland Britain.

Moreover, the British military guarded it, monitoring to prevent starving people from taking the food.

British government logic:

• Food is landlords’ “private property” • Private property rights are sacred • Therefore, even if people are starving, exports cannot be stopped

This is the true face of cold legalism: “Following rules (laws) takes priority over human lives.”

Pattern ④ extreme: Prioritize rules (private property rights) over inconvenient reality (starvation)

Looking at records from Irish people at the time, despair remains: “Why can’t we eat when food is passing right in front of us?”

By the way, after this famine, Ireland’s population was halved. Through starvation and emigration.

Pattern ⑱: 1884–85 — Berlin Conference “Just Draw Lines on the Map Part 2”

Tactic: Ignore African people and divide the continent in a European conference room

Remember the 1494 Treaty of Tordesillas (Pattern ⑩)? When Spain and Portugal drew lines on a map and divided the world in two.

400 years later, exactly the same thing was repeated.

This time, Africa.

14 European countries gathered in Berlin and divided the African continent.

African representatives?

None.

Opinions of African people?

Not asked.

In a European conference room, drawing lines on a map with a ruler: “From here is Britain, over there is France, that way is Germany”

The “straight border lines” drawn at this time are Africa’s modern borders.

And what happened:

• Same ethnic groups divided into multiple countries • Hostile ethnic groups crammed into the same country • Result: Seeds of ethnic conflicts continuing to the present day were sown

Pattern ⑩ large-scale re-enactment: Rewrite the map and you rewrite reality (or so they believe)

By the way, the chairman of this conference was German Chancellor Bismarck. He later remarked: “Africa? Not interested. It’s just a piece for European balance.”

At the Berlin Conference, Belgian King Leopold II obtained Congo not as a state but as his personal private property.

“Free” what freedom? The freedom for the king to freely exploit.

By the way, when this massacre was internationally criticized, what did Leopold II say?

“It was education to civilize the natives.”

Pattern ⑳: 1914–18 — World War I “Finance Both Sides and Profit Whoever Wins”

Tactic: Transform war into an “investment opportunity”

In World War I, American banks (especially J.P. Morgan):

• Financed the Allies (Britain, France) • Also financed the Central Powers (Germany) (early in the war)

Whoever wins, interest comes in.

500 years later, exactly the same.

Stage war like a sporting event and reign as the stadium owner.

Result:

• War dead: About 17 million • Wounded: About 20 million • Bank profits: Enormous

【Churchill’s Boomerang — “The Japanese Are 12 Years Old” Said by the Man Who Was an Eternal Kindergartener】

Here, let me tell you an interesting story.

In 1942, Winston Churchill (British Prime Minister) said this during talks with America:

“The Japanese are 12-year-old children. Mentally immature, emotional, incapable of long-term thinking.”

Looking back, this is a perfect boomerang.

Churchill’s Statement (1942)

Churchill called Japan “12-year-old children” and insisted that the West, as “adults,” should guide them.

But what had happened two months before?

February 1942: Fall of Singapore

The fortress city of Singapore, which Britain boasted as “impregnable,” fell to Japanese forces in just one week.

British forces: About 85,000 surrendered

The crushing defeat that Churchill himself called “the worst capitulation in British history.”

The “adults” were completely defeated by “12-year-old children.”

ちなみに、この「魂があるか議論」、後の時代にも繰り返されます。アフリカ人に対して、アジア人に対して、そして驚くべきことに20世紀まで続きます。

パターン⑬：1600年〜 — 株式会社が軍隊を持つ時代

手口：国家ではなく「企業」が植民地を経営し、利益のために人を殺す

さて、ここで新しいプレイヤーが登場します。

オランダ東インド会社（VOC）とイギリス東インド会社（EIC）です。

これ、「会社」ですよ。株式会社。

でも、彼らは：

• 軍隊を持っていた • 要塞を建設できた • 条約を結べた • 戦争を起こせた • 人を処刑できた

「会社が戦争？」

はい、そうなんです。これが、現代の民間軍事会社やグローバル企業の直系の祖先です。

1623年：アンボイナ事件

インドネシアのアンボイナ島で、オランダ東インド会社がイギリス商人と日本人傭兵を拷問し、処刑しました。

パターン⑭：1650年代 — 台湾における「分断と貢納」システム

手口：現地の部族同士を競わせ、永久に支配者に依存させる

オランダが台湾を支配していた時代、彼らは現地の原住民部族に対して、実に巧妙な支配システムを構築しました。

仕組み：

パターン②の再確認：わざと不平等な特権を作り、互いに憎ませる

パターン⑮：1740年 — バタビアの華人虐殺「家畜が知恵を持つ恐怖」

手口：現地人が経済的に力を持ちすぎたら、一夜にして消す

オランダ領東インド（現インドネシア）の首都バタビア（現ジャカルタ）で、衝撃的な事件が起きました。

一夜にして、約1万人の華人（中国系住民）が虐殺されました。

なぜ？

華人たちが商業で成功し、経済的影響力を持ちすぎたから。

オランダ東インド会社から見れば、これは「システムの異常」でした。

彼らの論理：

• 現地人は「労働力」であるべき • 「労働力」が知恵を持ち、富を蓄え、影響力を持つことは、想定外 • 想定外の事態 → システムをリセット

だから、虐殺。

パターン⑯：1840年 — アヘン戦争「国家規模の麻薬ディーラー」

手口：相手国の国民を中毒にして、戦う意志を奪う

これ、本当に驚くべき話なんですが、イギリスが国家として麻薬を売っていたんです。

背景：

イギリスは清国（中国）から茶、陶磁器、絹を大量に輸入していました。でも、清国はイギリスの商品にあまり興味がない。結果、貿易赤字。

イギリス：「これじゃ損するじゃん。何か売れるものないかな」

で、思いついたのがアヘン（麻薬）。

ちなみに、アヘン戦争後、清国では推定2000万人以上がアヘン中毒になったと言われています。

パターン⑰：1845–52年 — アイルランド大飢饉「飢餓の輸出」

手口：100万人が餓死する中、食料を護衛して輸出

これも、信じがたい話です。

アイルランドでジャガイモの疫病が発生し、主食が全滅。100万人以上が餓死しました（人口の約12%）。

でも、実はアイルランドでは小麦、大麦、牛肉、バターなどが豊富に生産されていたんです。

じゃあ、なぜ餓死？

それらの食料は、全てイギリスの地主が所有していて、イギリス本国へ輸出されていたから。

しかも、イギリス軍が護衛して、飢えた民衆が食料を奪わないよう監視していました。

イギリス政府の論理：

• 食料は地主の「私有財産」 • 私有財産権は神聖 • だから、飢えている人がいても、輸出を止めるわけにはいかない

これ、「ルール（法律）を守ることが、人の命より優先される」という、冷徹な法治主義の正体です。

パターン④の極限：都合の悪い現実（餓死）よりも、ルール（私有財産権）を優先

パターン⑱：1884–85年 — ベルリン会議「地図に線を引くだけ Part 2」

手口：アフリカの人々を無視して、ヨーロッパの会議室で大陸を分割

1494年のトルデシリャス条約（パターン⑩）を覚えていますか？ スペインとポルトガルが地図に線を引いて世界を二分した、あれです。

400年後、全く同じことが繰り返されました。

今度はアフリカです。

ヨーロッパの14カ国がベルリンに集まって、アフリカ大陸を分割しました。

アフリカの代表は？

いません。

アフリカの人々の意見は？

聞いていません。

ヨーロッパの会議室で、地図に定規で線を引いて、「ここからこっちはイギリス、あっちはフランス、そっちはドイツ」

この時に引かれた「直線の国境線」が、現代のアフリカの国境です。

で、何が起きたかというと：

• 同じ民族が複数の国に分断される • 敵対する民族が同じ国に押し込められる • 結果、現代まで続く民族紛争の種が蒔かれる

パターン⑩の大規模再演：地図を書き換えれば、現実も書き換えられる（と思い込む）

ちなみに、この会議の議長を務めたのはドイツの首相ビスマルクです。彼は後に「アフリカ？ 興味ないね。ヨーロッパのバランスのための駒だ」と発言しています。

パターン⑲：1885–1908年 — コンゴ自由国「王様の私有地で1000万人死亡」

手口：国ではなく、国王個人の「私有地」として植民地を経営

ベルリン会議で、ベルギー国王レオポルド2世は、コンゴを国家としてではなく、個人の私有地として獲得しました。

名前も「コンゴ自由国」。

「自由」って何の自由？ 国王が自由に搾取する自由です。

何が起きたか：

レオポルド2世はゴムの採取を強制しました。ノルマを達成できない村は：

• 手を切り落とされる • 村ごと焼かれる • 人質として家族が殺される

推定で1000万人が死亡しました。当時のコンゴの人口の約半分です。

しかも、レオポルド2世は一度もコンゴに行ったことがありません。ベルギーの宮殿で、ゴムの利益で豪華な建築物を建てていました。

ちなみに、この虐殺が国際的に批判されると、レオポルド2世は何と言ったか？

「現地人を文明化するための教育だった」

パターン⑳：1914–18年 — 第一次世界大戦「両陣営に融資して、どっちが勝っても儲かる」

手口：戦争を「投資案件」に変換する

さて、ここまで来ると、もう笑うしかないレベルなんですが…

第一次世界大戦で、アメリカの銀行（特にJPモルガン）は：

• 連合国（イギリス、フランス）にも融資 • 同盟国（ドイツ）にも融資（戦争初期）

どちらが勝っても、利息が入る仕組み。

これ、15世紀のベネチア金融ギルド（パターン⑧）の完璧な再現です。

500年経っても、全く同じ。

戦争をスポーツの試合のように演出し、自分たちは観客席のオーナーとして君臨。

悪魔なら、もっと創造的な悪事を考えるでしょう。

彼らはただの「永遠の幼稚園児」です。

「このパターン、使える！」と気づいた手口を、飽きもせず、何世紀も繰り返しているだけ。

チャーチルも、リーマンのCEOも、同じ。

ヘリコプターで飛んだ。谷を見なかった。だから崩壊した。

そして、その手口が通用し続けているのは、私たちが気づかないからです。

もし私たちが横を向いて、隣の人と手を繋いだら？

もし「あれ？ これ、あの時と同じパターンじゃない？」と気づいたら？
