1. What I’m inspired by: “Everything good will come.” Seffi Atta.

2. What I’m reading: Rethinking Economics. I earned my Bachelor’s in Economics and Statistics. Although my heart was not in it, my head was, and so I did well. Some modules made an impression: macro and development economics, but I could not wait to graduate, and over the next decade, I focused on a brand and marketing career. So, it is a plot twist that now I find myself going back to economics, dusting off the books and, this time, led by heart, wondering why I did not see things more clearly the first time, enough to ponder, confront, and challenge. Students critiquing curricula, rethinking theories, and redesigning frameworks were not our considerations at school at the time, which is why I found the Rethinking Economics movement fascinating. In my opinion, it should go beyond economics; education needs an overhaul. More in The Guardian here: https://lnkd.in/e869nFht

5. What’s up: Matt Shumer’s viral article, “Something Big Is Happening”. If you haven’t read it, then you are probably the only one who hasn’t. What I enjoyed seeing, though, were the many rejoinders and conversations that occurred as a result. Organic LinkedIn for a change, as it should be! I wrote mine on Medium, and, in true Omole fashion, it takes a different tack.
