You are Me, I am You

Even though we are owners of very advanced intelligence, people, situations, places, and words break us. Completely or halfway through. It’s always a wonder why we hurt ourselves so much, especially when people leave us, distance themselves from us, and even abandon us. Even though we believe we have strong identities of our own, I’d say that every person in our lives is a part of our identity. Every person that we have is a part of us, making us who we are. The closer they are, the more deeply and firmly they are rooted in our personality. That’s exactly why there’s a beauty in every beast. And when they leave you, it feels as if a part of you is crashing and breaking, making you feel hollow inside. It feels as if a part of you is not there anymore. You doubt yourself, hate yourself, and despise yourself, making you confused about yourself. It’s not the people that we do not like, but it’s always the people we love and the people that we hold close to our hearts that destroy us, making it more heartbreaking. Every time people leave our lives, we kill the part of us that we believe made those people leave us. We swear to never feel or behave in ways that we did those people. Every time we do that, we are dimming the sparkle, the light that makes us special. I guess our minds are not as strong as we thought it is. People leaving does not mean that we are wrong, it does not mean our behaviours are spiteful. We have to hold on until we recover ourselves and remember the messy bits are loved by those who remain. Your flaws are appreciated and admired by many. Make them build you back while you hold on to them with all your might.
