And it’s June… again
Rain pours down, dampening my hope, yet my heart stands still, waiting for her arrival.
And it’s June… again
Rain pours down, dampening my hope, yet my heart stands still, waiting for her arrival.
I smell red roses along with petrichor, a bit of sand, and a bit of sun, maybe a bit of both. June, a month I have waited for; I remember my eyes shining at the mention of June, a smile spreading across my face, waiting for her arrival, screaming with happiness when she arrives.
I have always thought of June as a woman with a gentle smile that never fades and soft brown hair that smiles at the sun. Her heart is tender; her path is clear — eyes that twinkle shine back at me.
She reminds me of brown-haired Rupunzel, maybe? Two worlds apart we stand now; she used to be a friend who carried memories of forever, but all I can see now is a foe looking back at me.
She still looks the same, just as pretty, but I cannot forget her eyes when she locked me forever in a tower of illusion called happiness.
Yet I hope you love her, cause maybe it was I who was blinded by my own, yet I stand waiting for her.
Yet again she blinds me with hope.
Vaani…
P.S: I think this piece needs a bit of context; June is my birth month — often filled with hopes that have been crushed before, yet I hope again that it might be different this year.
