valentine’s day — the question she won’t answer
—
Valentine’s Day hangs quietly over the poem like an expectation neither person fully knows how to meet. The unanswered question becomes larger in the silence around it — intimate, fragile, and impossible to press too hard against. What lingers most is not rejection, but uncertainty itself, suspended there between hope and hesitation like the pause before someone finally looks away.

Curious how these small moments become haiku? I’ve written a short guide called *The Three-Minute Haiku System*, which shows a simple way to turn an observation into a draft haiku in just a few minutes.
