The Faithfulness of Jezebel

By all accounts, as it is written, Jezebel was a faithful and dutiful wife who fiercely defended her husband’s interests. What could possibly be wrong with that?

The Jezebel archetype is a properly subjugated, faithful wife, under authority, who acts in the best interests of her husband.

Her reward for this is destruction, because subjugation is a function of sadism, and all subjugators, without exception, are the sons of pride and evil men.

The book of Revelation calls Jezebel a false prophetess, a false teacher, a fornicator, seducer and an adulteress.

But she was not always that.

Jezebel was the daughter of King EthBaal of Sidonia, making her a Gentile and a Canaanite, from the ancestral home of Jesus.

She was Married to Ahab, King of Israel, who was a son of Moses, and a son of sacrifice. Now the sons of Moses and Joshua had waged war on and conquered the Land of Canaan, making this marriage between Jezebel and Ahab an attempt to unite two hostile nations, the conquerors and the conquered. The masters and their slaves.

The enslaved Canaanites called the occupying sons of Moses Baal, which means masters, because they practiced patriarchy, Lordship, Authority, Hierarchy.

The Fornication

The Hindu culture practices a patriarchal caste system, or hierarchy, known as varna. Varna is the root word of Fornication. The V and F are phonetically interchangeable when we are transcribing languages making fornication the act of varnacation, caste, or hierarchy.

At the top of this hierarchical pyramid is the Priest class, or Brahmins. These are those who sit in the seat of God, as God. Abraham, biblical patriarch, was a Brahmin, as attested by Jesus in John 8:58, where he tells the Levites “Truly, truly, I have told you before, Abraham is I AM.” Jesus informs the Levites that Abraham, a man, is God, making him, by definition, a Brahmin. This so enrages the Levites they pick up stones to stone him. Brahminism is theocratic in nature. Priests rule the people and the nation, and advise Kings. Brahmanism is also the origin of ritual sacrifice.

Beneath the Brahmin priest caste is the ruler caste, for kings, governors and warlords. Beneath them is the merchant class of farmers and traders. The fourth and last varna in this hierarchy is skilled labor, artisans, tradesmen, and servants.

This pyramid is separate from, but sits on a foundation called Dalit, which means broken, shattered, divided. These are the untouchables.

Fornication is the act of doing, creating, or making varna, patriarchy, hierarchy. To commit varna, or fornication, is the sin of Pride.

The Pride of Sodom

A hierarchy requires a dom and a sub, a master and a slave, someone who has dominion and someone who is subjugated. Without a dom and a sub no hierarchy can exist. That is why your constitution states that all men are created equal, so that you will not be tempted to establish hierarchy and commit fornication. Taking dominion over another is an act of pride and subjugating another is a function of sadism, or wrath, two of the 7 deadly sins.

Pride was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah. They were not destroyed because of homosexuality. As it is written, they were destroyed because they practiced varna, fornication, hierarchy, patriarchy and subjugation. When lot and his two male messengers feared for their lives, Lot turned his virgin daughters over to wicked abusive men to be ravaged and killed to save himself and his friends.

Ezekiel 16:56

“For the sisters of Sodom were not even mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride.”

If you haven’t heard of the sisters of Sodom, if you don’t know that they are the reason Sodom was destroyed, it’s because your teachers are children of pride, who believe Lot was justified in saving himself at the expense of his virgin daughters.

Ezekiel 16:49

“The brides of Sodom are troubled, the sisters of Sodom break bread with the proud and gluttonous, and they hold their peace, and appease and pacify them. They do not have a firm hand, but are oppressed and abused. And they exalt those who commit abominations before their faces. Their grief is great and their rebellion is good.” (This is my own literal interpretation from the Hebrew text. No one elses).

I want to avoid blaming the victims here. But what we learn from the sisters of Sodom, who Lot threw to the “dogs” to be torn to pieces and wounded, is that appeasing and exalting wicked men leads to destruction, not safety. We also learn that men who subjugate women will not hesitate to throw them to the dogs when it’s convenient.

Ezekiel compares Samaria to Sodom. King Ahab built a shrine and an altar in Samaria. This act signaled the Kings submission to the Brahman priest caste and his subjugation to the hierarchy of the Hindu caste system. Indeed, the King bowed down to Baal, his master, the Brahmin priest caste, which sat in the seat of god, as god.

Now Jezebel the Canaanite, who was the Virgin daughter of Canaan, married into this disastrous caste system and her sin and her fate were identical to the virgin daughters of Sodom. She saw that her husband was a wicked man, but she continued to break bread with him, to appease him, to hold her tongue, to allow his iniquity. She was a soothe sayer. She soothed him with her words. And in the end, Jezebel got thrown to the dogs.

Soothsaying

As it is written, King Ahab, who owned the world, and was very rich, coveted the one tiny little vineyard he didn’t own. It was owned by Naboth. Naboth refused to give to him the vineyard. So King Ahab went home and entered into the house of Jezebel implacable and enraged. Then he ravished her in the bedchamber, drove her away from his face and refused to eat.

And Jezebel kept the peace, like a good wife. She brought him bread and wine, and soothed and exalted/eulogized him, reminding him he was the great big ruler of Israel. And then she placated him saying, I will help you get the vineyard, and she did.

Instead of calling Ahab out for his pride, covetousness, greed, and wrath, and refusing to participate in his unrighteousness, she aligned herself with her enemy, Ahab, her husband, and became complicit in all of his crimes.

To be clear, a subjugated woman becomes the image of her subjugator.

1 Kings 21:26

“There was none like Ahab, who sold himself to work evil, whom Jezebel his wife did soothe.” Sooth also means to seduce.

The sin of Ahab was fornication, but it takes two, a dom and a sub, and Jezebel was complicit by marrying into a hierarchy that subjugated her and silenced her voice. Her sin was obedience to her wicked, abusive, oppressive, husband, instead of obedience to righteousness. Her sin was keeping peace with a wicked man and becoming a mouthpiece for patriarchy, subjugation and wickedness.

And the very patriarchy she defended and obeyed threw her to the dogs, just like the sisters of Sodom. Again, this is not to blame the victim, but to expose the nature of a deception. Jezebel herself was deceived, believing that placating and obeying this son of Belial would secure her safety. It didn’t.

In Revelation, the letter to Thyatira says obedient and faithful servants of patriarchy, hierarchy, and Baal, have no place in the church. They corrupt the good morals of Christians and seduce them into practicing fornication, or hierarchy.

So yes. Jezebel was a faithful and dutiful wife who looked out for her husband’s interests. She was also a fornicator, soothsayer, seducer, peacemaker and legendary pick me girl, as are all good patriarchal wives. The Jezebels are called to repent and stop condoning and being complicit in their own destruction and the destruction of their children.

Jesus instructed his followers not to give their daughters to the sons of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, whom he called swine, saying don’t give your daughters to the swine who trample them under their feet and subjugate them, for they will also kill them.

A Final Note, lest you think that the book of Revelation is the word of God. While it condemns hierarchy, it also tempts you with the very thing it is condemning. It calls out the church for fornication, while tempting them with power over the nations.
