52-Week Challenge - July
I got an idea when I looked out the window.

Summer is currently showing its best side. The sun is shining brightly, and we can enjoy all the pleasures of summer: sitting on the terrace in the evening and occasionally jumping into the refreshing water of the lake.
Rodrigo's tasks were, as always, a challenge for me. But it's good to exercise your brain cells every now and then.
Join me as I navigate the challenges and find out what I've been thinking about.
Okay, let's get started.
**29 – On the Waterfront –** Like the movie, or not

The two of them were sitting right on the edge, enjoying the cool water to refresh themselves. It had been a really hot summer day, and they had just finished a strenuous bike ride.
I thought the idea of the chairs in the water was great. You have to keep coming up with new ideas!
If you're looking for a refreshing way to cool off without actually going into the water, why not try this method?
**30-Odds and Ends—like the song,** or not.

It was December 2025, and we were at the Christmas market in Erfurt. Shown here are ceramic figures for the windowsill. You can place a small candle inside the figures to make them glow.
Personally, I find this type of Christmas decoration a bit too kitschy. But that's just a matter of taste.
To me, all the characters are simply odds and ends.
**31 – Going Under –** Like the book, or not.

Going Under was the biggest challenge for me. What kind of photo should I choose? Going Under would be fitting for Germany, for example.
I had also considered dropping something into a glass and taking a snapshot of it.
A photo of the Titanic... No, that wouldn't be from me.
So, what should I let set? I gazed thoughtfully out the window. Suddenly, the sun peeked through the clouds and blinded me slightly.
That was the saving idea: the sun. It sets every evening and rises again every morning.
I found this kitschy photo of a sunset at the sea. The woman with the smartphone seemed to be enjoying the moment too.
32 – Look What I Found – like Lady Gaga, or not.

Photo from Autopr
It was October 2025, and I wanted to capture the autumnal atmosphere in the nearby forest. However, I didn't really find what I was looking for that day.
The sun had disappeared behind a layer of clouds, and it looked as if it would rain soon.
Then I saw two red caps in the thick foliage.
I had found my subject; the search had been worthwhile.
Thank you for reading this far. If you enjoyed my little July story, I'd love to hear your feedback. Constructive criticism is also welcome; I'm always eager to learn.
Have you already mastered your July challenge? If not, then I wish you every success and, above all, good ideas.
Thank you for reading.
