No One Knows What’s Really Going On

Why understanding the external world requires more humility, uncertainty, and discipline than ever before. What I’ve learned — and why I’m shifting how we explore truth moving forward.

Today is the one year anniversary of my very first article posted on Substack. It was April 21st, 2025 that I published ‘The Subconscious War’ and emailed it to my one subscriber. Since that first post was sent into the void, we have grown this community to over 33,000 truth-seekers. I am so very grateful for the incredible minds I have been able to interact with here. Personally I learn and grow so much from our weekly philosophical discussions in the subscriber chat.

‘The Subconscious War’ truly set the stage for what this publication would become. Truly, I did not know what the focus of this publication would be — and to a degree, still don’t one year later. To live a life philosophy of questioning everything we must be fluid and open to new information from all different directions and sources. What matters most today may be largely irrelevant tomorrow. The purpose of my writings and videos are to help you look at all aspects of the soul and its human experience.

As of now, I have been primarily focused on the internal mechanisms of the human experience. I have focused here because before we seek to understand the external world around us, we must first seek to know thyself. Much of the external world is nothing more than a mirror of our internal beliefs and subconscious conditioning. We may all see and hear the same events playing out at the exact same time, but the meaning we give these events and the emotional and psychological reactions they trigger may be very different from each other — and is that not what’s most important? Events are just neutral happenings until we attach personal meaning to them.

Today, thousands upon thousands of people are losing their lives in multiple simultaneous wars. You would think we all would agree that the loss of human life is tragic. However, this is not the case. Many believe that any human life lost is tragic — then there are many others who believe this group or that group of people deserve to die. This distinction of perspective begins within each individual.

Lately, I have been feeling called to start shifting my primary focus to the external happenings in the world. In the near future, you will be reading more articles looking at the bad players in this rigged game we’re all playing.

I have been hesitant to write about the external events we are seeing because I have studied enough over these past several decades to understand that what we are seeing is nothing more than a choreographed stage play being produced and directed from the shadows backstage. Substack, Medium, YouTube, TikTok and every other social media platform are flooded with voices telling you who is good, who’s bad, who is controlling from the shadows, what’s happening in the dark — but not a single one of them truly knows what’s what.

It has become the common online language to preach speculation as gospel. I know that in my younger investigative years, I was the same way; I thought I knew ‘truth’. I do not know, and neither does your favorite writer or video influencer.

As I begin to start expanding my writing into these controversial areas, I will be treading lightly. They will be written from deep investigation, yet from the honest perspective that we cannot know for sure. My purpose here is not to give you answers — it is to help your mind ask deeper layers of questions. Those who pose as the ones who have the answers for you, are nothing more than posers.

When looking at the complex outer world, it is important to research and investigate from all possible angles. We must be humble and brave enough to openly read and watch viewpoints that are in opposition to our own. Just because you feel strongly for or against something, it does not mean what you feel is true actually is. As much as possible we must blend intuition with honest critical thinking. Extract as much information as possible from diverse sources and perspectives, then sit silently with it.

When it comes to most of the controversial aspects, people, and events in life we must be humble enough to understand we will never know for sure what is fact and what is illusion. We must seek to find our own personal sense of truth regarding our perspectives around these situations, so that we may best make decisions and navigate this melodrama in a way that best serves us and our family.

If you think Donald Trump is the Antichrist, fine, navigate your life from that paradigm. If you think he’s the world’s great hope, fine, navigate from that perspective. Regardless of what you believe, make sure you have researched enough diverse information and have taken ample time for critical thinking and deep reflection, and know WHY you believe what you believe. I only use Trump as an example, because he seems to be one of the most controversial figures in today’s zeitgeist — but this applies to all of your life’s perspectives and beliefs.

If you believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, or don’t, know why you believe that — do not blindly accept or reject anything or anyone.

It seems we must have deep beliefs and convictions in certain things; they keep us anchored. Even though from what I have studied and believe, the unseen is much more real than what our physical senses can perceive; we still operate in this three dimensional world and experience it through our human brain and biology.

We will never fully be free of the ego while we are here; the ego needs a sense of certainty, and we largely find that sense of certainty in our deeply held beliefs. Just understand that no matter how deeply and assuredly you may believe something and feel so strongly that you KNOW it is true — you may very well be wrong.

We must hang onto our deeply held beliefs with a loose grip, not a tight one. We must continue to study, learn and consciously seek out new information in all matters of life — especially the areas where we feel “I already know”. Allow your beliefs to have a certain flexibility and be open to reexamining them when new information has been presented to you.

Hold your current convictions as a tool to help you form values to guide your decisions and actions on a day to day basis. Be open to shifting them tomorrow and navigating your life in a different way, if something real has shifted within you.

If you truly are a truth-seeker, you are probably not the same person internally that you were five years ago, and you will be a different version of yourself five years from today. We are here to grow and evolve in consciousness, this requires fluidity and a willingness to change. Personal change requires great humility — pride is the enemy of growth.

“Our greatest ability as humans is not to change the world; but to change ourselves.” — Mahatma Gandhi
