Enabling OIC Health Care Version

OIC 24.08 marks a significant leap in healthcare connectivity, introducing native MLLP and REST-based support for HL7 and FHIR standards.

By leveraging MLLP and REST, OIC now facilitates faster, more secure interoperability between EHRs, labs, and clinical applications. It is the primary tool for connecting Fusion to the “Big Three” EHRs:

• Oracle Health (formerly Cerner): OIC is used to sync clinical supply usage (from Millennium) to Oracle Fusion SCM for automated replenishment and to Fusion ERP for patient billing and financial reconciliation.
• Epic Systems: Widely used by large health networks. Common OIC use cases include sending “Charge Posted” (DFT) messages from Epic to Fusion Cloud Financials and syncing staffing schedules between Epic and Oracle Fusion HCM.
• MEDITECH: Popular in community hospitals and the Canadian market. OIC facilitates the exchange of procurement data (Expanse) and payroll data between the clinical front-end and the Fusion back-office.

Existing Customers on OIC can simply go ahead and enable the Health Care Version by following the Below Steps.

1. Go to Developer Services — Integration

2. Go to the Compartment where you have configured the OIC instances. On the OIC details page, click on Actions and click on Edit.

3. Choose the Health Care Version.

4. After Enabling the Healthcare version you can see the below changes in your OIC console

Under the new Healthcare menu you could see the options for creating HL7 messages and schemas for those messages. Also resouces for FHIR.
