How Many Mock Tests Are Enough for GATE CSE?

Hi, my name is Rahul, and I have completed my GATE CSE preparation. I am currently working in a private IT company, but during my GATE journey, mock tests were one of the most important parts of my preparation. I mainly used Exampreptool for practice and revision.

Based on my experience, I attempted around 30–35 full-length mock tests. In the beginning, I did not jump directly into full mocks. I first focused on topic-wise and subject-wise tests available on Exampreptool, which helped me identify weak areas and improve conceptual clarity. This step was very useful because it prevented repeated mistakes later.

Initially, I gave one mock test per week. Once my syllabus was almost complete, I started attempting full-length mocks on Exampreptool regularly. In the last 2–3 months before the exam, I increased the frequency to 2–3 mocks per week to improve speed, accuracy, and exam temperament.

What really helped me was detailed mock analysis. After every test, I spent nearly 2–3 hours analyzing solutions, revising concepts, and updating my short notes using insights from Exampreptool.

From my personal journey, I can confidently say that 30–35 well-analyzed mock tests using a platform like Exampreptool are more than enough to perform well in GATE CSE.
