How the COTI Token Works

Like many tokens in the crypto ecosystem, there are two versions of COTI token. One that is native to the COTI blockchain and one that is native to Ethereum. Same token on two different networks.

1. COTI V2 (Native COTI)

• Lives directly on the COTI Network
• Used for gas, staking, and privacy features
• Used for participation in COTI Earn — our reward platform.

This is the version you want in order to participate within the COTI ecosystem.

2. COTI (ERC20)

• Lives on Ethereum as a standard ERC20 token
• Contract address: 0xddb3422497e61e13543bea06989c0789117555c5
• Mainly used for trading and liquidity on Ethereum-based exchanges

This version must be bridged to use COTI features within the ecosystem.

⚠️ COTI V2 (Native COTI) is NOT an Ethereum token. Sending COTI V2 to an Ethereum address will result in permanent loss.

How to Get COTI V2 Native Token on MEXC.

To obtain native COTI on centralized exchange MEXC:

1. Login to MEXC.com
2. Navigate to ’Spot’ and choose which asset to ‘Convert’
3. Fill out the form, choosing COTI

When you have COTI within MEXC, you can withdraw it to your self-custody wallet. MetaMask is our recommended wallet.

4. Navigate to your MetaMask wallet and copy your COTI Mainnet address📌If your self-custody wallet is not connected to COTI Mainnet, follow the steps here to add it.

5. Choose ‘Withdraw’ from within your ‘Wallet’ in MEXC

3. Fill out the Transfer details setting the network to COTI

4. ‘Submit’ the details and confirm

5. Download the MEXC Authenticator for verification

6. Complete the transaction.

When transferring COTI V2 to your self-custody wallet you must ensure the COTI Network is added and use the associated receiving address.

⚠️IMPORTANT: COTI V2 tokens sent to an Ethereum address cannot be retrieved.

How to Get COTI ERC20 Token on Binance

1. Visit https://www.binance.com/

2. Log into your Binance account or open an account if you are a new user.

3. Choose how to purchase COTI ERC20:

• FIAT via Bank Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay
• Cryptocurrency

To obtain COTI ERC20 with crypto follow the steps below.

1. Navigate to your Wallet

2. Choose the asset you wish to swap and select ‘Convert’

2. Connect your wallet
3. Choose ‘Swap’ from within the Essentials Menu

4. Set the destination asset to COTI

5. Hit ‘Buy COTI’ and follow your in-wallet instructions to complete the swap.

How to purchase COTI ERC20 on Uniswap

1. Connect your wallet to Uniswap. MetaMask is recommended.
2. Select ‘Trade’ and choose the currency you wish to swap for COTI 📌 You will need a small amount of ETH for the Gas fee since Uniswap holds COTI ERC20.
3. Confirm the transaction.
4. You now hold COTI ERC20 in your wallet

How to Bridge COTI ERC20 into COTI V2

COTI Native Bridge can be used to move COTI in & out between COTI Network and Ethereum.

1. Start with COTI ERC20 within your self-custody wallet
2. Navigate to bridge.coti.io
3. Connect your wallet

4. Enter Ethereum as the source network and COTI as the destination network

5. Enter the number of tokens to bridge

6. Hit ‘Bridge Tokens’

7. Confirm the transaction in your wallet
