Saw them a few times down The Marquee and a few other places and great live, 1977–78. Never bought any of their LPs.

One of the features of the band at the time was the enigmatic Gaye Black who played bass. There weren’t many women in rock at the time so she got a fair amount of attention but it was the singer, Tim Smith who was the band really with some great poignant (for the time) lyrics. The thinking man’s punk.

They also got on Top of the Tops a few times which wasn’t usual for a punk band.
