she’s a little verklempt — not a painting by Klimt! an attempt to preempt to avoid being crimped but stays silent — been told that her tears are pure gold

There’s a very famous painting of a woman with a golden tear, and practically everyone assumes it’s a Klimt. It isn’t — to see it, Google “Golden Tears Painting” or follow this link — you’ll recognize it.

The painting is actually by Anne Marie Zilberman — who has no Wikipedia page, and little proof she even existed — she appears to have been a French painter.

I’ve not as yet been able to find — on the web at least — any analysis other than exasperation by those who know the painting is not Klimt’s.
