Is it physically possible for a volcanic eruption alone to propel a massive rock structure so high that it appears as a tiny, static dot from the ground?

Generally, volcanic eruptions can launch massive boulders and volcanic bombs to significant altitudes, but they rarely reach a height where they look like a “star in the sky” to the naked eye. Most volcanic ejecta ascend a few kilometers to tens of kilometers before succumbing to gravity and falling back to Earth.

However, the object in the anime’s ending isn’t just floating high; it remains a pinpoint dot in the sky even after a considerable amount of time has passed. This portrayal diverges significantly from the realistic trajectory of volcanic debris.

The Grim Fate of the Characters If an Impact Occurred

• The Mother (Light and Heart’s Mother): Though she successfully protected her children through numerous localized disasters, surviving a prolonged global climate shift is a different story. A collapsing food chain would place the parent generation in extreme peril.
• Baku: Despite being the supreme ruler and a powerful predator, a predator’s survival hinges entirely on its prey. If the herbivore population plummets, even the strongest king cannot survive the long winter.
• Pero Pero: Living in a separate region, Pero Pero’s migration routes and habitat would also be completely upended by the global climate shift.

Ultimately, while the anime leaves us with a hopeful note that they might all meet again someday, a massive cosmic disaster like a meteorite impact would mean the chances of Heart, Yummie, and Pero Pero ever reuniting are devastatingly slim.

To summarize, the tiny dot in the sky at the end of Heart and Yummie can be interpreted in two ways:
