My Silicon Valley | Rajasthan Student Startup Exposure Program

We landed in San Francisco International Airport in the bright sunlight and a feeling of excitement prevailed throughout my body. After all the hardwork and perseverance to build something different, to build something to make an impact on the world is half-way there.

The characteristic smell that I felt while breathing the San Francisco air for the first time was truly phenomenal.

The day was fairly simple, after collecting our luggages and clearing the immigration we went to the hotel to get some rest and start with the program designed the following day.

It is one of the most revolutionary initiative to bring 100 student start-ups to Silicon Valley and expose them to the global leaders when it comes to startups.

Before moving forward let me introduce myself — I am Madhur Boran, and I am one of the 100 students selected under the Rajasthan SSEP 2018 Program and is going under a training/ exposure trip organised by the Department of IT and Communication, Government of Rajasthan.

Other than that I am a final year student of Computer Science Engineering.

Also there’s a little introduction about me at the end of the article.

Day 01 | Stanford University and 42 Coding School

The day started off early with us having our lunch by 9am and then heading to the Stanford University. The day had got a lot of things packed in it. And same were we, as a group were excited to visit the renowned university.

As we reached the Stanford University we were greated by these amazing and exciting people. We waited for the tour guide to come and give an official tour of the campus and tell us about various places and labs available there

The various places that we visited are :

• Memorial Church
• Hoover Tower
• Arizona Cactus Garden
• Gates Building

amongst many.

After visiting the Stanford University the next stop was the 42 coding school.

The idea about the 42 coding school is to have peer-to-peer culture so that one student can help the other and vice versa.

There were around 300 student there and teaching and learning from each others.
