I wish I could regurgitate the words and thoughts on my tongue.
I wish I could regurgitate the words and thoughts on my tongue. I wish my soul — the rolling in my chest — could write for me. I hesitate so much when writing. Most of my time is spent contemplating, typing, and then deleting. I read works of art like “Zami” by Audre Lorde, and I’m blown away by her perfect choice of words that convey exactly what she had intended. I know I hesitate out of fear — out of being misunderstood or incorrect, or god forbid — ignorant. How do I overcome this buffering? Is it simply a matter of confidence?
