Eid Inside a Tent in Gaza: A Father’s Story of Displacement, Hope, and Survival

I never thought I would write something like this about my children’s Eid.

We are currently living inside a tent in Gaza after being displaced from our home. Life has become a continuous cycle of uncertainty — moving, waiting, and trying to protect our children in extremely difficult conditions.

Despite everything, my children still try to create moments of joy for Eid in their own simple way. A small smile, a short laugh, a piece of hope in a place where normal life feels far away.

No child should grow up like this. No family should have to turn survival into a daily routine.

I am not sharing this to ask for pity, but to make our reality visible. Behind every tent is a family trying to hold on to dignity, childhood, and hope.
