EZManager — the “EZ” way to do Concentrated Liquidity (CL)

Finally! A tool that makes Concentrated Liquidity trading easy!

Last year, I made my first foray into Concentrated Liquidity (CL) trading.

Concentrated liquidity trading is a decentralized finance (DeFi) mechanism where Liquidity Providers (LPs) allocate capital to specific price ranges rather than spreading it evenly across the entire market spectrum. This optimizes capital efficiency, allowing LPs to earn higher fees with significantly less total capital.

I bought Mike Dre’s Concentrated Liquidity course, and while it was excellent, the field was rife with platforms that required one to figure out their particular quirks, and mysterious ways of doing things.

From Pancakeswap, to Aerodrome, to Revert — each dealt with setting ranges in their own particular way, with no standardization. Fees could also be wildly different even dealing with the same pairs — such as WETH/USDC.

While figuring each platform’s quirks, I was losing money driving on the Learning Curve.

For example, when I was opening a position on Aerodrome, with each refresh I had a different ratio between WETH and USDC — sometimes extremely different from the refresh before. I couldn’t figure out why the ratio changed so much between refreshes.

And, figuring out the dollar value of the underlying tokens, especially with two volatile tokens, just scrambled my brains figuring out if I even had a profit.

I would have to get the current price of the volatile token, multiply it against the deposited number of tokens, and add it up with the fees up to that point. Of course, I made spreadsheets to try to make sense of all the data, but I kept wondering, why couldn’t they make this more user-friendly?

Enter: EZManager

With EZManager, I finally had a tool that made sense to me. The CL Range setting was adjustable against the price chart (the way it should be), USDC in-and-out for easy calculation, and Profit and Loss (P&L) was automatically calculated — which included the current value of the underlying deposit, along with the the fees up to that point.

There was even a predicted APY one should expect based on the CL range you selected, which is in turn based on prior performance of the LP. This is through the “Instant Backtest” box at the bottom.

Based on 7, 30, 60, and 90 days, you can backtest the CL range you are thinking of getting into, and weigh that against what percentage of time was spent in fee collection range, and how much it was out of range.

With EZManager, with its USDC standardized In and Out, User-friendly CL range setting, and a predictive APR from the settings you selected, I was finally seeing some success in my CL trading.

I think you’ll find it an easier entry to Concentrated Liquidity. If this is your first foray into CL — then I envy you. You should have a much easier time on the Learning Curve than I had!

How to Start

Feel free to use my Referral link: https://ezmanager.finance/r/0x75b35efa672360cff7c7f5f6bb9f97b0dc2cb9e5

  1. Connect your wallet. I use Rabby wallet.
  2. Click “Open a Position.”

  1. The page opens with USDC/WETH as a default, with +/- 10% range as a starting position:

If you want to do a different pair, click “Explore Pools.” EZManager has a catered list of LP Pairs — 27 pairs currently, but have been adding more pairs and more chains the further they go along.

  1. Adjust the range in a couple ways. You can simply click one of the percentages to have the range snap to those settings, or unclick “Symmetric” and adjust the range manually through either changing the setting numerically, or drag the upper and lower bounds of the range (Horizontal lines in Blue) on the chart.

  2. Enter the amount in USDC, then click the Blue button “Open Position.”

Conclusion

Concentrated Liquidity finally has a tool in EZManager that gives CL Traders something that makes the whole process easy (or dare I say EZ) ;)

For the first time, I felt like I understood CL well enough to give it a go. There are more aspects of EZManager to get into, such as Automation, and a historical range view, but for now this should be enough to get you started. I’ll address Automation and more in a future article.

Eventually, I did decide that I would still like something a tad more set-it-and-forget-it — which I will also get into in a future article about their followup to EZManager: EZMoney!
