Really? Maybe it’s time he looked in the mirror. 🤔

I love London. Always have.

But even as someone biased towards this city, it’s impossible to ignore how far it’s slipped.

The buzz has faded.

The optimism’s gone.

The numbers don’t lie.

And after taking a £300 million Government bailout to paper over a housing shortfall, blaming Brexit feels like the weakest excuse imaginable.

Sadiq, you’re running one of the greatest cities on earth.

The pride of millions.

A powerhouse of the global economy.

Yet time and again, we get finger-pointing instead of progress.

Ask anyone in the industry.

Developers, investors, employers.

They don’t blame Brexit.

They blame you.

Because this isn’t about Brussels.

It’s about leadership.

If you want a thriving London, you need a thriving UK economy underneath it.

That means accountability.

It means competence.

And it means knowing when to stop blaming everyone else.

Otherwise? Expect things to go from bad to worse.
