What Is Launch Liquidity?

Why Meme Coins Need a Better Liquidity Model

Over the last few years, launching a token became insanely easy. Today anyone can create a meme coin in a few minutes. Platforms like Pump.fun and other launchpads made token creation accessible to almost everybody.

But at the same time, the market ran into another problem — liquidity.

Most tokens launch with almost no real capital behind them. Even if a project gets attention, there’s usually not enough liquidity to support a healthy market. Price becomes unstable fast, early sellers kill momentum in minutes, and snipers absorb most of the volume right after launch.

The industry figured out how to launch tokens fast. But liquidity infrastructure around launches barely evolved.

Right now, creators still need either their own capital or outside liquidity to launch properly. For most people this becomes the biggest barrier. A good meme or strong community is no longer enough access to liquidity matters just as much.

We think this is where a completely new market starts: launch liquidity.

A Different Way To Launch Tokens

Moono is building infrastructure that allows users to access borrowed liquidity for token launches on Solana.

Instead of preparing large amounts of upfront capital, users can access liquidity from protocol pools and launch tokens in one atomic transaction.

This changes how token launches work completely.

It becomes possible to create more liquid launches without locking huge amounts of personal capital. At the same time, liquidity itself stays inside the protocol infrastructure while users manage positions through the Moono interface.

This is especially important for Solana. Meme economy moves faster than almost anything else in crypto, but most launch mechanics still stay very primitive. The market learned how to create tokens fast, but liquidity efficiency still didn’t improve much.

Why This Matters

Most launchpads today only solve one thing token creation. But creating a token doesn’t automatically create a real market around it.

Liquidity decides:

  • if the token can hold attention;
  • if healthy trading exists;
  • if traders stay interested;
  • if the project survives its first hours.

In reality, lack of liquidity is one of the main reasons why most launches die early.

We think the next evolution of the market will be launch liquidity infrastructure — a new DeFi layer focused specifically on capital and liquidity for token launches.

Just like crypto evolved toward DEXs, perpetuals, liquid staking and MEV infrastructure, the market is slowly moving toward another primitive: liquidity infrastructure for launches.

What Moono Is Building

Moono is a Solana DeFi protocol building borrowed liquidity infrastructure for token launches.

The protocol uses atomic execution and Solana/Jito infrastructure to create and buy tokens within a single transaction. Users never receive borrowed funds directly into their wallets launch mechanics happen inside the protocol itself.

This approach allows more efficient and more liquid launches while reducing chaos around early trading and launch volatility.

Right now launch liquidity barely exists as a standalone category. But we believe it can become one of the core infrastructure layers behind meme economy and token launches on Solana over the next few years.
