Our mission at the Post Growth Institute is to uplift, co-design, and model approaches that equitably and innately circulate money, power, and resources in our local communities and global economy. The Generation Climate Europe (GCE) New Economy Programme launched the Let’s Talk… New Economy webinar series, a monthly interactive space for young people to explore economic alternatives through expert insights and hands-on collaboration.

For their first episode, Donnie Maclurcan (PGI Director of Strategy) and Tyler Harris (PGI Director of Operations) were invited to lead a workshop exploring how global systemic change can find its foundation in the somatic wisdom of our bodies. Moving beyond intellectual theories to tap into the inherent knowledge of our nervous systems, it was a moment of slow relationality in a fast-paced world.

In Minnesota, Priscilla Trinh (PGI Director of Communications) hosted an OANM in the context of community preparedness as neighbors continue to heal and deal with Operation Metro Surge. Participants left feeling energized and excited to host larger OANMs in the future.

On the eastern coast of the US, Donnie hosted an Offers and Needs Market at the 2026 ReFED Food Waste Solutions Summit. The session engaged over 25 professionals working at the nexus food systems, climate, and equity.

In Australia, Post Growth Affiliate Fellow Jane Wang moderated a discussion with Luke Kemp (author of *Goliath’s Curse: The History and Future of Societal Collapse*). The conversation focused on possible pathways to prevent the worst kinds of collapse, and birth a post-growth world in the here and now.

Hosted by Marion Atieno Osieyo (Founder of Black Earth Podcast), Marianna Coulentianos (PGI Research Lead) joined others for a conversation on alternative incubation models and ways to support innovators, pulling insights from our report with Unearthodox.

Post Growth Stories

The dominant stories of wealth, about how capital works, who deserves wealth, what counts as productivity, and what counts as progress, have been built over centuries in the service of racial capitalism. To address this longstanding imbalance, Post Growth Fellow, Ashanti Kunene, has just launched The Black Papers, a series of life-affirming stories that land in the body before they land in the mind, and reorganise both.
