A Year in Review | Merry Christmas!

Dear Readers,

There’s something satisfying about reaching the end our second full year and knowing the work has really paid off. We’re so happy to have found excellent writers to help us with our content. With this year marking our first flash fiction prompts, it’s been a journey to say the least.

As writers ourselves, we know how daunting it is to step up to the task of sharing work on digital platforms as well as in print journals. But we hope you have found what every writer soon discovers: that when we’re tasked with having to think on the spot, only the best ideas rise to the surface.

Reading and managing the submissions this year has been one of the best parts of our day-to-day editorial work. We just want to say thank you to every submission we’ve received this year. In 2025 alone there was over 30 film reviews and over 80 book reviews.

We would also just like to highlight the flash fiction prompts. Across the year, we received 126 submissions, which makes us so happy that many are being inspired by the scenarios and situations we come up with. It’s been a real pleasure to see how differently each prompt was interpreted, and new ideas and voices are always welcome.

We also want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

For 2026 we are excited to continue developing the publication with new content, and hopefully we’ll be able to expand by offering some new sections to our growing publication.
