He Lied with Proof in Front of Him—Will He Ever Change?

If someone is capable of lying to you even if you can present proof, is it safe to say they are never going to be honest with you and are capable of anything?

I’m afraid that the answer is yes.

I fear that this person is a pathological liar who is dedicated to maintaining a particular image and controlling those around them, especially since you have already provided compelling evidence that they are lying and they continue to tell lies with no remorse.

However, someone could also just be a compulsive liar who may just be lying out of fear and is uncomfortable with confrontation.

Either way, lying isn’t really a good sign in a relationship. When dealing with such individuals, it’s best to maintain your cool and talk with them in a quiet, private setting free from interruptions that could immediately make them defensive.

If their lies continue to cause you harm, you should consider ending the relationship.
