Freya left us, but she could not go too far with the wound I inflicted. “S-shall we chase her?” I asked Adam. “Yes, let’s. I would rather her not wreak havoc to our people”

Freya was still annoying as usual, she could just throw her spear to Adam, but she threw it to me, so in response I tried to hit her, but it was hard to not kill her, I need to lower my strength a lot so I could wound her but not enough to kill her.

We rushed to follow her foot steps, until suddenly before we even entered the barrier, a large explossion was seen, the terrain was bright red due to the fire, and smoke was heavy. “Damn!” said Adam. We rushed faster, and realized one of the village was in fire, the trees were burning.

“Shit, how dare she” I was really mad. I could not hear any voice, seemed everyone died already. If not for Lilith’s blessing they would not be able to resurrect the next day, but at the very least they would not need to feel how it was to be burned alive.

“Do you know any spell that can stop the fire?” “No, but I think what is most important is to let all the other villages in this forest to evacuate” “Yes. You go south, I go north, we will deal with the fire later” “Certainly” I said. Then I paused, “Wait!” “What is it?” “Garaam! She is engaging Freya!” I told him. “What? Go, find Garaam first!” he said.

I nodded and ran as fast as I could to the direction of the gate of bifrost. I saw some of the hunter team of other civilization beheaded on my way. I ran faster, I could see some slight drip of blood which I believed would come from Freya, and I was close enough that my ears could already hear their conversation. Suddenly a very bright light coevered the entire area, but this time not the so called Aurora Borealis from Freya’s armor. It was different, a different light, warm, yet blinding, and suddenly I lost all of my senses. It was just a moment, but a moment when you could feel nothing was a weird feeling, and regaining your senses also surprised me.

Then, once the light fades, I could not sense Freya’s presence anymore. I walked slower, because I knew Freya was no longer a threat, there I saw the so called 4 legged beasts that had been discussed a lot for the past 2 years and slowly getting smaller and smaller, and Garaam was visible. Both me and Adam had always known that the 4 legged beast was Garaam all along. My father taught her transformation magic 2 years ago to hid her from the people’s eyes and she hid in Heimdall’s castle, then she kept honing her skills and attuned herself to the mana flow of Niflheim, the mana of the dead, hence her transformation looked like a bloody rotten dog.

“Did you get her?” I walked to her. She cuddled naked, she must have torn her clothes. “No, she just disappeared when I was about to bite her” she said with her poker face. As I get close to her, I hugged her. “At least you are okay. I dont mind if she died” She seemed to be surprised, but she answered “Thank you”

“But what was that light?” I asked. “That was Yggdrasil intervening” Adam appeared from behind me. “You! Look the other way, and if you bring any clothes for her, walk backwards while looking at other side” I tried to hide Garaam’s exposed body but I was too small to hide her, even my coat was too big.

“Don’t worry, I am not interested in her body. In my eyes, all female body is disgusting except Lilith’s” he said that while throwing a cape for us looking at the other side. I wrapped the cape around Garaam. “Poor Eve” I said. “Hey” he was offended.

“So what about Yggdrasil?” “She was not supposed to die today, but it seemed Garaam really put her to edge that would certainly kill her. Hence Yggdrasil intervened and saved her. She must have been transported somewhere else, maybe back to Valhalla” Adam knows a lot about Yggdrasil, he once ate the fruit of Yggdrasil when Eve offered him, which caused their banishment. But either way, Garaam’s 2 years of meditative state shows a very dangerous result, she nearly killed the strongest entity in Valhalla. Eventually, I came to know how Freya was traumatized by Garaam later on.
