A brief reflection…
This is a type of poem that I often give the subtitle of “A word study poem.” A number of online dictionaries have a “word of the day” feature. So I scroll through various sites looking for a daily word that inspires me to create a haiku or senryu or tanka. It’s a way I have found to both build my vocabulary, and get my creativity jump-started.
