Patrick Kielty: Hosting the Late Late Show is ‘the privilege of a lifetime’
Patrick Kielty said that anchoring RTÉ’s The Late Late Show is “truly the honour of a lifetime” in an emotional opening statement to his debut.
As he grieved in RTÉ’s studio 4, he said his family will be “watching the show from County Down” and other places.
He has previously said that because of his upbringing in Northern Ireland, the show would have an all-Ireland feel.
The world’s longest-running live discussion show welcomes the comedian and performer as its fourth permanent host.
