What are **Android app Functions*? is a Jetpack library introduced by Google that lets an app expose specific capabilities, called functions *to external AI agent apps on the same device.

Android App Functions allows apps to expose data and functionality directly to AI agents and assistants. enabling them to discover and execute tasks directly on the device to fulfill user requests. This positions the Gemini app to evolve into a ‘super app’.
