Levi Carte Case: Let’s Talk About The Father, Kyle Carte, Right Quick

This one has garnered some YouTube infamy.

It seems as if most major YouTube true crime channels have covered this Levi Carte case in the past few weeks. As such, I have jumped on it too — the first thing I wrote is about whether Levi ever had a chance in life, which is perhaps fascinating from a nature vs. nurture perspective because Levi has an identical twin who didn’t kill anyone. Then I found out a bit more about their maternal grandfather, who abused their mom and their aunt, so I wrote that up as well.

We have not discussed the father much — his name is Kyle Carte, and here’s his LinkedIn. Appears as if he manages a building in downtown Cincinnati. Bearing in mind that one of his biological children killed someone at age 13/14, this paragraph hits a bit different:

Collaboration is key to my success. I work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Security, and specialized service providers, as well as an extensive network of suppliers, to ensure uncompromising safety standards, meticulous maintenance, and seamless operational execution.

If you watch any of the videos about this case, there are portions where Hunter (the twin who didn’t kill anyone) says both he and Levi “saw their dad abuse their mom.”

Well, here’s what we got in Hamilton County:

Looks like many of these are violation of protective order. You’ve got a few seat belt and tinted windows in there, too.

I’ve heard from family members on this case who claim Kyle left the boys’ lives at about 2/3, in terms of day-to-day living with their mom (Rebecka or Becca), but was in the picture here and there. I am not sure how true that is, but it seems true, so for now I will go with it. I would find it hard for someone to kill a person at 14 if they had, let’s say, a strong father figure.

I cannot find domestic violence records, but the first link above in the Hamilton County court records is a violation of protective order, and I would assume some type of violence or threat needs to be proven to attain a protective order in the first place.

I’ve heard from the same family members that now that Levi has committed this crime and it’s splashed on YouTube, Kyle is “trying to step up” and “present as a committed father.”

It might be what we call a too little, too late situation.

I do not know this family personally and just find their story, from afar, to be a mix of tragic and fascinating. If you are part of this family or do know them, feel free to reach out or comment and tell me if I got anything wrong here. I welcome it.
