Marco Rubio looks ‘exhausted,’ ‘embarrassed’

In recent weeks, photos of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio have emerged where he looks “exhausted” and “embarrassed,” according to reports.

Perhaps the most high-profile example of Rubio’s wincing came when President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance criticized Vladmir Zelenskyy during a visit to the White House in February. Rubio’s expression during the exchange resembled one of, “Get me out of here.”

“Shortly after the meeting ended, images of Rubio slouching with his hands clasped and appearing stone-faced during the event appeared on social media, with some commentators claiming that the Florida Republican appeared to be “embarrassed” at the press conference,” Newsweek reported.

What’s bothering Rubio?

Social media also has begun to ask questions like, “Why does Rubio look miserable and afraid at the same time?” Answers one on Quora, “It’s because unlike most of Trump’s cabinet, he actually seems to want to protect and advance American interests, while working for someone who doesn’t give a damn about them.

The media has been making a fuss over Rubio’s sour faces. According to the Economic Times , “Marco Rubio’s face says it all as Donald Trump unleashes on Zelensky; gets roasted online for his reaction, calls for his resignation intensify.”

Even a gay website, Queerty, has weighed in on Rubio’s appearance , saying he looks “absolutely exhausted.”

Trump has praised Rubio, saying he’s doing an excellent job. But how quickly voters forget what Trump said about Rubio during the 2015 primaries. Reported Politico in 2015 , Trump called Rubio, “Sweaty. Lightweight. A no-show worker. Disloyal. A kid. A borrower ‘with no money, zero.’”

It’s no wonder Rubio has a sour face.
