Dai’s House of Stinky Tofu

The stinkiest and tastiest of the tofu — stinky tofu salad（涼拌臭豆腐）

Dai’s (戴記獨臭之家臭豆腐專賣店) is hardcore stinky tofu all the way, with several varieties on-hand in the shop. The stinkiest, and my favorite, is the stinky tofu salad (涼拌臭豆腐). This varietal has a very flavorful, cheese-like texture.

Braised stinky tofu（紅燒臭豆腐）

The hong shao, or braised, stinky tofu soup (紅燒臭豆腐) has a light vegetable broth base with braised tofu, dried mushrooms, and bits of parsley.

Steamed stinky tofu（清蒸臭豆腐）

The last in the trifecta, steamed stinky tofu (清蒸臭豆腐), is the least of our stinky friends. Accompanied by mushrooms and a light dusting of spring onion, the taste is par for the course in the land of steamed stinky tofu.
