Being an Extrovert

Being an extrovert means amazing at small talk. You are the life of a party. You are the soul of big social circles and you have a magical skill of bringing people together.

I am a college-going student in knowing myself.

After completing school and then my high school, I have realized that I don’t fit into cacoon.

I love talking to people.

I am always the one who starts the conversation without thinking that much.

I like making new friends and learn from them. As a good saying by Dr. APJ Abdul kalam- “making a new friend is like buying a new book”.

Yeah, people sometimes don’t like this talkative and over-friendly nature. But that’s the trait of someone’s character, and it's perfectly fine. Anyone who will like you, the way you are, will stay and those who are not meant to be with you, better stay away.

No hesitation to speak or sing or dance or do a stand-up gig. Extroverts love the audience. I remember, I and three of my friends went to a Mall on Sunday and there was a small ‘talent showing event’ where you can showcase what you got. I made my mind that I am going to sing in front of this large crowd which I did and it was very exciting. And I guess that excitement of seeing the crowd and wanting to do something or show my talent is a super plus point for any individual. Surely a perk of being an extrovert.

Extroverts are the people who express themselves very well. And I personally like those who can make a clear stand about their opinion. Because when you explain your stuff with proper explanation with full details, you are likely to get proper and targeted solutions. Don’t be over expressive or otherwise, someone will hit you back with that info. I just mean to say, make your point and make a mark upon it so that it gets a touch of you.

Expressive attitude is mostly a trait to be super attractive which is also a bonus point if you are an extrovert.

I hate monotonicity. I didn’t like to sit in classes listening to those unbearable lectures every day. Rather I will love to attend any productive workshop regarding anything, it may be about technical, management, communications skills, aptitude skills, etc. So every Tuesday and Friday I’ll bunk after my lunch and will go to any of these workshops and gather as much as I can. And on weekends I’ll be happier to attend a stand-up gig or a musical concert rather than sleeping and doing useless stuff with the same people again and again. Going to these concerts and events let me meet wonderful people and by wonderful I mean cool and knowledgeable individuals.

I remember, once I attended an open mic in my city and was eager to narrate my story to some 80 people which I successfully did. It was liked and appreciated by many but most importantly I made a good friend with whom I really had a good time like seating on a beach with some drinks and getting to know each other. And I am pretty sure that sleeping in my hostel on off-days will never let me meet those beautiful people.

Being good at making new friends easily and not following a similar pattern with the same people is also counted as a key quality of an extrovert.

My parents always use to say to me that- ‘If you have an opinion, say it’. I have a political opinion and I am totally open about it. I do have a relationship thought process and I love to share it with interested ones. I do have solutions to improve the education system of India, and I keep on writing blogs and raising my voice over it. Last year, on India’s Independence Day, I was told to sing a patriotic song. I was good with it, but I thought why not give a small speech over the current scenario of the country and then do my performance. I did so and was appreciated by the dean of the college.

So, If you are a person who is good at presentation and say their views or opinion about anything, then you are from the extrovert club. Cheers!!

Extroverts are the same everywhere (social media). I have seen so many people who are really active and talkative on social networking sites, but as you meet them physically, they won’t utter a word rather we have to remind them we talked for 4 hours that day. I am a social media user and I am pretty much active on it. I post about writing, music, fun stuff, and some of me. As mentioned previously, I share my views on current events on Social media. I write about philosophy and I love to talk about it. I am a little more creative in putting stories on Instagram. If I ever get the pleasure to meet any beautiful person reading this, I will be the same person as I am on social platforms.
