I thought chlorophyll was just for plants, until I started drinking it!

The older I get, the more I feel like I’m circling back to my eight-year-old self. I can still see myself sitting in class, learning about plants, chlorophyll and photosynthesis. Back then, I never imagined it would matter to me fifty years later.
Looking back, there are so many things I wish I’d done differently — especially when it comes to eating. I didn’t always make the best choices, and now I try to make up for it with supplements. Thankfully, I don’t have to take any prescription meds, and I’d like to keep it that way.
The last time I ordered my supplements online, I noticed they were giving away a free bottle of chlorophyll. I really didn’t know why anyone would want it. I remembered chlorophyll had something to do with the green in plants, so I couldn’t figure out how the human body would use it. Still… it was free, and free is one of my love languages, so into the cart it went.

When it arrived, the label had “detox” written across the front. I immediately thought of my friend who’s always on the hunt for a good laxative, and I tucked it into the cabinet to give to her later.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and I’m reading an article about how chlorophyll helps detoxify the body and purify the blood. I did not have a clue! I grabbed my bottle and started reading more about it. Turns out, it’s not the “3 days in the bathroom” kind of detox cleanse that I thought it was.
Instead, chlorophyll helps your gently body deal with all the unseen junk we’re exposed to every day — things in the air, in our food, in plastics, even in tap water. Over time, those toxins can quietly and quickly build up, leaving you feeling tired, messing with your skin, and weakening your immune system.
This particular bottle also had zeolite in it — I had to look that up too, lol. It’s a natural mineral that helps “catch” some of that unwanted stuff and carry it out of your body.

The taste? Very earthy, with a slight hint of sweet. It comes with a dropper, and I take one full dropper twice a day. I either take it straight or drop it in my water mug. When I am going to be out and about, I mix it with water and carry it in a clear container. I love to see people’s reactions when they ask me what the green drink is and I tell them chlorophyll.
Outside of the ease of taking it, my favorite things about it is how gentle it is. It’s not a harsh detox that has you chained to the toilet. Chlorophyll gives your body an extra hand with what it already knows how to do — sweat out and flush away the bad stuff. I feel lighter, more energized, and healthier.
I am a LG member and use a number of their products, including their organic mushroom coffee, essential oils, Vitamin D3-K2, Lean8, and, of course, the chlorophyll. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
If you’ve been feeling sluggish or like your body could use a little reset, chlorophyll might be worth trying. I wish I had tried it the minute I got it.
