Andros Townsend excited to begin nomadic career-long journey through Premier League’s mid-table

Saying that deep down he always knew he would end up on this path, Andros Townsend today expressed his excitement as he begins his nomadic journey through the Premier League’s mid-table.

Speaking after completing his transfer from relegated Newcastle United to Crystal Palace, the England winger stated that he hopes it’s the start of a fruitful quest through England’s football rich landscape of mediocrity.

“This is much travelled terrain but somewhere I myself have never been. It’ll be tough but I think I can handle it,” said the England international of his upcoming expedition, which is expected to see him travel to the wilds of Stoke, as well as the barren landscape of Hull in years to come. “I have been given plenty of advice by guys who have already trodden this path and look forward to seeing for myself.”

The former Tottenham Hotspur star stated that while some had advised him against taking his chosen route, he felt the time was right to go out and see some of the world.

“People speak solemnly of the difficult terrains of Norwich and the desolation of Birmingham, but how can I truly judge them without seeing them for myself?”

At press time, Townsend stated that depending on the success of his journey, he may venture to the footballing wilderness of the Middle East sooner rather than later.
