TikTok Returns

Just like millions of users I was pretty panicked at the thought of TikTok being gone. I wasn’t making income from the App, but I did enjoy and indulge a bit. It was great to reach milestones like 110K views to the point I found a niche. What wasn’t fun was trying to figure out what to do with the content that I worked on to disappear in a snap. Part of that was my fault being that I went to bed and woke up to everything gone. I felt like I was on punishment. I joked with friends that I had to unplug on placed myself on a sort of TikTok rehab. I briefly remembered Lemon 8 but that’s powered by TikTok, what’s a tech girl to do?

Well, I do have Instagram and I became a TikTok refugee on RedNote until it hit me, there’s Fanbase. Once I learned how to migrate my videos over I just have to do the same thing I did with TikTok. Learn the app and build my audience. See a lot of people were freaking out because they were making a sizable income, (influencers were definitely freaking out) I know for myself I remembered the content was already on my devices it’s just where to host them to grab an audience. I just began thinking to myself well if I could build my audience, become engaging just like I was doing with TikTok then I can definitely do it in other platforms. So as I was preparing to get everything over and start a brand new journey thinking here we go again while the theme song of One Day At A Time was playing in my head I then get a notification from some friends and my jaw hit the floor. Yes Tik Tok was back in action. It was slowly but surely restoring servies. Relieved couldn’t begin to describe what I was feeling.

Before releasing a heavy sigh of relief, to be safe again, I migrated my content over to Fanbase to be on the safe side. What caught me by surprise was YouTube notifications were going crazy because you had many creators so upset they decided they weren’t returning to TikTok. I don’t know what to think about that I mean I will miss them if they decided to look elsewhere and I can’t blame them because nobody (I’m speaking of influencers that were making a sizeable income from the app.) was thinking about what happens to them should the app face threats of a ban or shut down. I seen the memes and jokes with people saying Tik Tok is back only to lead to a link for a job application. But let’s be serious here, was there a safety net or savings going on in case something like this happens? I can bet you any amount of money now it’s going to happen and I can bet you that now many are going to put away for a rainy day because when it rains it pours. I’m elated TikTok made a grand return but I’m so on edge about it. How long is this return. Honestly I hope it ran off the TikTok beggars. Time to get to work everyone there’s nothing to see here for now.
