I never thought I’d learn to slow down — until now.
For the longest time, I was always in a hurry. Rushing through life, impatient for things to happen, restless in waiting. But lately, I find myself noticing the small things: the quiet walk to work, the decision to buy ice cream just because, the way time stretches in the simplest moments.
For the first time, I don’t mind waiting. Staying up late just to be with someone, even when I have something important in the morning — it doesn’t bother me anymore. Time doesn’t feel like a race; it just makes sense now. No rush, no pressure. Just being here.
And it’s funny — something as small as ice cream makes me realize this. The way I pause to buy it, the way I wait for the vendor, the way I take my time enjoying every bite. It’s like a tiny act of self-care, a reminder that not everything has to be fast, that some things are meant to be savored.
Maybe this is what it means to truly live — not chasing time, but embracing it.
