Three systems. Three centuries. One pattern.

Feudalism.

For 500 years, lords extracted 60–70% from peasants. It seemed eternal. Ordained by God.

Then the Black Death tore through Europe. Labor became scarce.

But here’s what everyone gets wrong: the plague didn’t end feudalism.

Plagues had come before.

What ended it was what the survivors did together.

Peasants demanded wages instead of servitude. Not one peasant. Peasants across regions, coordinated through churches and markets.

When lords passed laws to stop them (Statute of Laborers, 1351), peasants ignored it. Together.

Then came the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381. Tens of thousands marched on London. Burned tax records. Killed tax collectors.

The revolt was crushed. But the system never recovered.

Because now the lords knew: peasants could see each other. Count each other. Move as one.

Sharecropping.

After slavery “ended,” planters reconstructed it with debt. Sharecroppers kept 0–20% after deductions. Legally bound until debt was paid. Debt that could never be paid.

What ended it? The Great Migration.

Six million Black Americans left the South. Not because a leader told them to.

Because the information moved. Through churches. Through the Chicago

Defender passed hand to hand. Through letters from relatives.

They didn’t reform the system. They abandoned it. Together.

By 1970, the South had lost a massive share of its Black population.

Sharecropping collapsed.

Company towns.

Workers paid in scrip. Trapped by geography and debt.

What ended it? Strikes. Homestead. Pullman. Ludlow. Blair Mountain.

Workers were shot, beaten, bombed. They didn’t stop.

Because they understood: collective refusal is the only power.

And it’s the only power they need.

Same pattern. Every time.

The people have the power; that’s not a question…the question is how you get them to coordinate on a global stage.
