Physical AI Infrastructure as a New Investment Narrative

Artificial intelligence is often viewed as software: models, algorithms, cloud services, and analytics. But behind every AI product stands physical infrastructure — data centers, servers, power grids, cooling systems, transformers, cables, and energy supply.

That is why a broader investment narrative is gradually forming around AI. Investors are looking not only at companies building AI models, but also at the sectors that physically enable them. This includes energy, power grids, semiconductors, industrial equipment, and critical minerals.

The IEA notes that demand for critical minerals is linked to clean energy, electrification, and infrastructure development.

In this context, AI becomes not only a technology theme, but also a real-economy theme. The more computing power the world needs, the more important energy systems, grids, and materials become in building that infrastructure.
