Who is Limoblaze

Limoblaze, whose real name is Samuel Onwubiko, is a Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter and rapper. He was born on October 25, 1995, in Makurdi, Benue State. Limoblaze has a unique blend of Afro gospel, Afrobeat, and hip-hop (he actually raps sometimes). Some of his popular songs include “Jireh (My Provider)” featuring Lecrae and Happi, “Gold” featuring Ada Ehi, and “Put It On God” with Annatoria.

But jokes aside, Limoblaze is FRESH!!!

He is signed to Lecrae Reach Records. Limoblaze is also known for his energetic performances and collaborations with other gospel artists. Limoblaze proposed to Favour (his long-time girlfriend) in September 2021. They were married in April 2022. So sorry ladies, man is taken already.

Limoblaze won the Best Gospel Act at the 2024 MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards.

Young & Chosen (The Review)

This project was released on the 23rd August 2023. It is currently streaming on all music platforms. On my first listen some tracks stand out, “Sorry” and “Wait” hit very well. These songs have deep lyrics I can relate to. Generally, the album has messages with each track. Limoblaze sings about struggles with habits, sin, forgiveness, joy, appreciation, and the gospel of Christ. I also like that he includes Yoruba and Igbo (our local Nigerian language) in his lyrics. This gives more melody to the songs.

The album is very very good. You can vibe to every track on the CD. Well done brother Samuel, you finish work with this album. I don't usually give numerical ratings to album reviews but for this one, I will make an exception. I hereby rate this Album a strong A+
