🗣MOSES IS DEAD; JOSHUAS, ARISE! (CI)❤️‍🔥

⚓️BIBLE REFERENCE: Joshua 22:21-29 (AMP) [21] Then the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered and said to the heads of the families of Israel,

[22] “The Mighty One, God, the Lord, the Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows, and may Israel itself know. If it was in rebellion, or if in an unfaithful act against the Lord, do not save us this day!

[23] If we have built an altar for ourselves to turn away from following the Lord, or if [we did so] to offer a burnt offering or grain offering on it, or if to offer sacrifices of peace offerings on it, may the Lord Himself require it [of us and hold us responsible].

[24] But in truth we have done this out of concern, for a reason, saying, ‘In time to come your sons (descendants) may say to our sons, “What claim do you have to the Lord, the God of Israel?

[25] For the Lord has made the Jordan a border between us and you, you sons of Reuben and sons of Gad; you have no part in the Lord.” So your sons (descendants) may cause our sons to stop fearing the Lord.’

[26] “So we said, ‘Let us prepare and build an altar, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice,

[27] but to be a witness between us and you and between the generations after us, that we are to perform the service of the Lord before Him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings, so that your sons (descendants) will not say to our sons in time to come, “You have no part in the Lord.” ’

[28] So we said, ‘If your descendants should say this to us or to our descendants in time to come, then we can reply, “See the copy of the altar of the Lord which our fathers made, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice, but rather it is a witness between us and you.” ’

[29] Far be it from us that we should rebel against the Lord and turn away from following the Lord this day, by building an altar for burnt offering, for grain offering or for sacrifice, besides the altar of the Lord our God which is before His tabernacle [in Shiloh].”

🧠MEMORY VERSE: A single witness shall not appear in a trial against a man for any wrong or any sin which he has committed; [only] on the testimony or evidence of two or three witnesses shall a charge be confirmed. Deuteronomy 19:15 (AMP)

MESSAGE Assumption is the mother of frustration, the messenger of confusion, and, the seed of error. The Lord does not recommend assumption anywhere in the Bible, there is a process of fact-finding that must be carried out. Take a look; "If a malicious witness rises up against a man to [falsely] accuse him of wrongdoing, then both parties to the controversy shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who will be in office at that time. The judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is a false witness, and he has accused his brother falsely, then you shall do to him just as he had intended to do to his brother. So you shall remove the evil from among you. Those who remain will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such an evil thing among you. You shall not show pity [to the guilty one]: it shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot" (Deuteronomy 19:16-21).

A civil war would have broken out if the children of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh were not asked about their actions! Trust The Lord to have backed them up if that happened! Many are living in bondage, pains, and sorrows because of one false assumption made causing The Lord Himself to turn against them. The Lord called false accusations evil and that is what it is! Any Spiritual man will understand the discord-planting methods used by the devil and will advice himself to fact-find, fact-check and fact-confirm before concluding! And even at that, when a person is found guilty, there is always a Law explaining the right process to follow. The judgment that follows assumptions is never right, often volatile, terrible, law-breaking, and irreversible! Did you see how beautiful the reason for erecting that altar was?

Many people have destroyed destiny-alterimg opportunities based on assumptions. Living and making decisions on the foundation of "what-ifs" is the worst decision a man can make! In Matthew 7:24-27, our Lord Jesus Highlighted the sand and rock foundation however, living based on assumptions is building in the air; zero foundation! Try to imagine what would have happened to us if The Lord had assumed Adam and Eve will never eat the fruit; there would have been no salvation plan! We all would have been eternally doomed for Hell. Yes we expect the best in life but because of the interference and operations of the devil, life does not give you what you deserve but what you demand. Action is required, right actions, in a specific direction, to create a specific result. Action, not Assumption!

🎺CALL: A student that assumes because he attended the lectures he will automatically pass, has applied for failure. A manager that assumes because he pays salary, the staff under his leadership understand every process, without teaching and training them, has planted a bomb, few ticks away from explosion! Parents that assume their children will excel in school simply because they have paid their school fees, are raising first-class failures! Again, assumption is the mother of frustration, the messenger of confusion, and, the seed of error. I've got good news for you; The Lord is delivering you from the spirit of assumption today!

Our memory verse reveals a very important cure for assumption; witnesses. A witness is a fact provider having seen, heard, understood or been involved in the situation under scrutiny. Of course, a witness is useless to the lawless who are governed by assumption. However, for those interested in justice, right judgment is built on the testimony of not one but two or three credible witnesses! No Sir, we are not Christians because we assumed that Jesus is Lord, we fact-checked from Credible Witnesses! Yes, we have had men, women and even history proving the validity of Jesus' Claim as The Son of God yet we have even Higher Witnesses! 1 John 5:7-8; "For there are three witnesses: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three are in agreement [their testimony is perfectly consistent]." 1 John 5:6 speaking about our Lord Jesus, provides more clarity; "This is He who came through water and blood [His baptism and death], Jesus Christ—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. It is the [Holy] Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. [He is the essence and origin of truth itself.]" Acts 1:8 confirms that every man who had and is testifying about Jesus has done so only by The Holy Spirit! The Outpouring started on the day of Pentecost but, is still on! Can we cry out now for a fresh infilling of The Holy Spirit?

🫵🏿BRIDGE: What does The Holy Spirit offer us? Isaiah 11:2-4 answers; "And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him— The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and strength, The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord— And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear; But with righteousness and justice He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the downtrodden of the earth; And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked". Do you realise the only reason we have a Bible is because of The Holy Spirit? More than that, we have Heaven and Earth because of The Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1-3). Now, let those interested in overcoming the world, pay attention, as The Holy Spirit explains how through John the Beloved; "Everyone who believes [with a deep, abiding trust in the fact] that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) is born of God [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose], and everyone who loves the Father also loves the child born of Him. By this we know [without any doubt] that we love the children of God: [expressing that love] when we love God and obey His commandments. For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey]. For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God. This is He who came through water and blood [His baptism and death], Jesus Christ—not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. It is the [Holy] Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. [He is the essence and origin of truth itself.] For there are three witnesses: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three are in agreement [their testimony is perfectly consistent]. If we accept [as we do] the testimony of men [that is, if we are willing to take the sworn statements of fallible humans as evidence], the testimony of God is greater [far more authoritative]; for this is the testimony of God, that He has testified regarding His Son. The one who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies confidently on Him as Savior] has the testimony within himself [because he can speak authoritatively about Christ from his own personal experience]. The one who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him [out to be] a liar, because he has not believed in the evidence that God has given regarding His Son. And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it], and this life is in His Son [resulting in our spiritual completeness, and eternal companionship with Him]. He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life. This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him. If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will pray and ask [on the believer’s behalf] and God will for him give life to those whose sin is not leading to death. There is a sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for this [kind of sin]. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death [one can repent of it and be forgiven]. We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know [for a fact] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world], and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from idols—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]" (1 John 5:1-21). We need The Holy Spirit! Let's Cry Out for a fresh baptism to become His Credible Witnesses!

🔥PRAYER POINT: My Father, I Thank You for sending Your Word to me today. Lord, please fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit so that I can operate as Your Credible Witness, delivering me from the spirit of assumption, in Jesus Mighty Name!
