Haley Can’t Resist Antagonizing & Betraying Her Supporters

It wasn’t bad enough that Nikki Haley violated her supporters’ trust by endorsing Trump and telling them to vote for him, she added more insult by seeking legal action against “Haley Voters For Harris.”

S–t got wild over the last week when U.S. President Joe Biden (D-Delaware) chose to drop out of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election after being pressured by members of the Democratic Party, including former POTUS Barack Obama (D-Illinois), and notable Hollywood celebrities like George Clooney, which stemmed from his performance in the first debate with GOP challenger and former POTUS Donald J. Trump (R-New York).

Vice-president Kamala Harris (D-California) is the presumptive new Democratic nominee though the Democratic National Convention (DNC) doesn’t occur for a couple more weeks. The growing majority of the Democratic Party lined up to support Harris’ candidacy.

Moderate Republicans, especially anti-Trump and anti-MAGA Republicans, gave their support to Harris.

Republicans who supported former governor and former UN ambassador Nikki Haley (R-South Carolina) supported Harris. The craziest thing so far with Nikki Haley is that a growing block of her supporters created a PAC called “Haley Voters for Biden.” Since Biden stepped aside and passed the figurative ring to Harris, the PAC renamed itself “Haley Voters for Harris.”

Nikki Haley WASN’T happy about that, she filed a “cease and desist” order to keep the group from using her name. In layman’s speech, Haley wants her supporters to be “quiet.” Even though she’s unlikely to say it in public, Haley wants them to STFU, tow the party line, and pledge their support to Trump.

Haley’s demand is clear, stop using her name to garner support for Harris.

Haley can’t stop antagonizing the people who supported her, trusted her, and believed in her.

She was one of Trump’s ardent critics from within the GOP. Even though Haley dropped out of the GOP primary, she publicly stated that she wasn’t going to support Trump. Her voters found it endearing that they still voted for her in the primary as a “f–k you” to Trump. They believed Haley would keep her word.

Surprise, surprise… (Sarcastically…)

Haley made a 180 and declared her support of Trump, then she told her supporters to vote for Trump.

Insert sarcastic gasp…

I understand the sense of betrayal and I understand the backlash. Haley hurt them with no apologies and rubbed salt in that wound by telling them to “stop using her name.” Despite the cease and desist order, the Super PAC isn’t changing its name and continues ramping up support.

Haley also demands that the group stops raising funds in “her name.” The group has raised at least $400K for Harris.

The Young Turks (TYT) reports that Haley plans to run against Harris in 2028 which is another reason she sent the organization that cease and desist letter. Who knows if the voters Haley burned will come back and support her?

Even though she’s backing Trump, Haley said she’s NOT apologizing for the political attacks on the campaign trail. Newsweek reported that a former aide to then-POTUS Bill Clinton (D-Arkansas) speculates that Trump may change his mind and remove Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate and replace him with Haley.

The aide pointed out that Vance is a “lemon.”

Vance is a toxic asset because of his outrageous views toward the childless.

It’s doubtful Trump will replace Vance because it’s too late. Trump believes himself infallible which is another reason he would likely keep Vance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Haley jumped at the chance of being Trump’s running mate if she was given the chance though. If this was the case, I believe it would hurt Haley and empower Harris.

It’s more than safe to say that Haley burned bridges with a good chunk of her supporters.

Haley remembers why they STILL voted for her despite dropping out of the GOP primary. Rhetorically asking, did Haley think her disenfranchised supporters would back Trump because she endorsed him? If the scenario of Haley replacing Vance becomes a reality, I doubt the members of Haley Voters for Harris would abandon Harris and re-pledge support for Haley.

The Haley voters made it clear, they’re NOT voting for Trump.

Even if Haley were to replace Vance as Trump’s running mate, they’re not going to vote for him.

The voters will remember how Haley treated them by going back on her word and then seeking legal action against those throwing their support behind Harris. Like other GOP politicians who initially voiced their opposition towards Trump, they showed their true colors when their power and influence waned.

In a nutshell, Haley and others like her will continue to betray their supporters when it suits them. Going after her supporters who sided with Harris instead of Trump with legal action takes the cake. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) or Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) never went after their supporters like that.

But Nikki Haley? Damn, lady…

Just because Haley “sold out,” it doesn’t mean her supporters have to “sell out.” This karmic punishment for Haley will hurt her in the long run. Everyone, especially Republicans who supported Haley through thick and thin, knew Haley broke her word.

If Haley keeps speaking out against Harris for the rest of the election cycle, Harris and the rest of the Democratic Party can call her out for betraying her voters. If Haley chooses to run for the GOP nomination for the 2028 U.S. Presidential Election, the betrayal and the “cease” order becomes invaluable ammo.

Let this be a lesson for anybody who wants to back Haley but detest Trump and the MAGA World, don’t back her. Haley will step over her voters and continuously violate their trust if it means she gets power and influence.
